-A possible unfulfilled prophesy, but also a sign for Garabandal detractors
The passing of Joseph Lomangino on the anniversary of the first apparition and also the last public message of Garabandal
6/18/2014- Lindenhurst, New York.
June 18, 2014 has marked the passing of Joseph "Joey" Lomangino, precisely 53 years ago to the day of the first alleged heavenly apparition (June 18, 1961) to four young girls in Garabandal, Spain. After the first initial appearance of St Michael the Archangel on this date, the Blessed Virgin Mary would allegedly appear on numerous occasions to the children until the final public message, once again on June 18, 1965. And for this reason, June 18th is the primary feast day of the events of Garabandal, since it marks the date of the first apparition to the children in 1961, and also that of the last public message of the Blessed Virgin Mary on that same date in 1965. And so it is that also on this very significant same date that Joey Lomangino died of a heart attack in his home at 10:30AM, lovingly surrounded by his family.
The timing of Joey's passing is not a coincidence
Firstly it should be pointed out that those who have faith in God and in His Providence know very well that God arranges the timing of important events, and those who have eyes to see and ears to hear should very well recognize the hand of God in the timing of Joey's passing on June 18--the anniversary of the first Garabandal apparition, and also the last public message of the Blessed Virgin Mary--for June 18 is truly a key date in the Garabandal apparition.
I remember when Pope John Paul II died on the evening of April 2, 2005 which that year was precisely the evening vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday--how so many people overlooked or did not recognize the remarkable sign in the timing of his death, for it was he who fought so hard for the recognition and acceptance of the message of Bl. Faustina and Divine Mercy Sunday--for it was beginning in the 1950's that Bl. Faustina's Diary with its writings on Divine Mercy were originally condemned by the Holy Office---but thanks to Pope John Paul II this original ruling was completely overturned. Thus, the timing of such events such as the death of Pope John Paul II and Joey Lomangino are signs for those with an open mind and heart, and such signs are not meant by God to be ignored or taken lightly.
A possible unfulfilled prophecy
Within hours of Joey's passing, already in comment forum here on this website and on other blogs and websites doubters of the alleged apparitions of Garabandal were quick to point out the apparent unfulfilled prophesy concerning Joey:
Letter to Joey Lomangino from Conchita Gonzalez (one of the visionaries of Garabandal)
_____________________________
March 19, 1964 - St. Joseph’s Day
"My Dear Joseph,
Just two lines to tell you the message which the Blessed Virgin gave me for you today at the pines…she told me that the voice you heard was hers and that you shall see on the very day of the Miracle. She also told me that the House of Charity you will establish in New York will bring great glory to God."

"You shall see on the day of the Miracle." --Here we come to the prophecy of the long awaited "new eyes" that were promised by the Blessed Virgin Mary to Conchita in a vision.
Now that Joey has passed from this life, many have jumped to the conclusion that this prophesy is false and unfulfilled. And at first appearance this writer would have to agree that such is the case. But, reading carefully the prediction of what the Lady in the vision said to Conchita---that is that Joey would see on the day of the Miracle---well, one has to recognize that there are other interpretations and possibilities than the most obvious and apparent one, and I will leave it to the reader to consider other such possibilities.
Keep in mind that this writer is not making excuses for what appears to be an unfulfilled prophesy, only that there are other possibilities and interpretations contained in such a message.
The failed prophecy that wasn't--The prophesy that St Padre Pio would see the Miracle of Garabandal before his death.
When the great St. Padre Pio died on September 23, 1968, many who were familiar with the events of Garabandal were surprised because the 'Great Miracle' prophesied at Garabandal had not yet occurred, because of the well known prophecy by the Blessed Virgin to Conchita that Padre Pio would see the Great Miracle, however his death by all appearances at first SEEMINGLY negated this alleged prophesy.
When Conchita found out Padre Pio died in Sept. 1968, she (along with many others!) were surprised and dismayed. However, several weeks after his death as dusk settled at Garabandal, on October 16, 1968, a telegram from Lourdes arrived, carrying the name of a woman in Rome whom Conchita knew. The telegram urged her to depart immediately by car to receive something on behalf of Padre Pio.
"My Dear Joseph,
Just two lines to tell you the message which the Blessed Virgin gave me for you today at the pines…she told me that the voice you heard was hers and that you shall see on the very day of the Miracle. Fr. Combe, a French parish priest from Chazay d'Azergues in the diocese of Lyon and a great promoter of the cause of Garabandal was in Garabandal that day. He and his collaborator B.L. Ellos took Conchita and Conchita's mother Aniceta in their car and set out that night for Lourdes. In the morning of October 17, Conchita received on behalf of Padre Pio a short written message, a large section of the veil that had covered Padre Pio's face after his death, and also one of Padre Pio's gloves. Delivering these gifts to her from Padre Pio was the Italian Capuchin, Fr. P. Bernardino Cennamo.
Conchita took advantage of this meeting to ask Fr. Cennamo:
"Why did the Virgin tell me that Padre Pio would see the Miracle?"
He replied: "Padre Pio saw it [the Miracle] before his death. He told us himself"
He replied: "Padre Pio saw it [the Miracle] before his death. He told us himself"
The lesson? Things are not always what they first appear to be, and we should not come to quick conclusions based on first appearances.
Joey Lomangino was a devout and pious man who spent his life spreading devotion to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Along with founding the Workers of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Center in Lindenhurst, NY, for many years Joey tirelessly traveled about to countless places giving conferences on the message of Garabandal--a message of prayer and reparation. He will be fondly and devoutly remembered by the many who met this remarkable man over the years. Whether one is favorable towards Garabandal or not, everyone should appreciate and recognize the fact that Joey was a very kind and pious man who spent his life spreading devotion to God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and his great spiritual friend, Padre Pio.
As to the authenticity of the alleged apparitions at Garabandal, it is up to the Church to make the final decision. In the meantime, the faithful are free to come to their own personal judgement after careful discernment.

Just because YOU want it to.
We should be grateful that God chose to take Joey now before He comes in his final coming. Otherwise people would think it is a warning instead of His final coming.
People who are truly searching for the truth will know for sure and certain that Garabandal was a satanic force.
There are so many now dead who were meant to be there for the miracle.
As for Joey. May God have mercy on him.
He did deceive us. He did once say that Pio told him to "go to Garabandal with discernment." yet this story changed.
Joey should have also publicly recognised all the prophecies that did NOT happen that should have. But he like all the other promoters ONLY told us what they wanted us to know.
I do not like to speak badly of the dead, but PLEASE do not make him saint like!
"Joey will see the day of the miracle." He is dead!
"Padre Pio will see the miracle." He is dead.
"Father Ramon Andreu's two other brothers Marcelino and Alejandro would live to see the Miracle at Garabandal." They are both DEAD.
"There will be only 3, no 4 more popes, then NO MORE." hummm
"Father Luis body to be found incorrupt after the miracle.” His body has been dug up, it's not incorrupt.
Are there any other prophecies that didn't happen?
Oh yes. there are more prophecies that didn't happen that was prophesised. But seriously, it should only take one!
Let's hear what God says...
Deuteronomy 18:22
"when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously."
Let's face it. We were DECIEVED.
Garabandal did NOT proclaim 'God's' words. It proclaimed a lie of a warning.
Jeremiah 23:21-22
“I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people,"
Good points in comments above, but nevertheless the timing of the date of his death is quite significant too.
Well I can see how if what is diplayed here about Padre Pio is true... leaving some items for Conchita and a Pio assistant saying he indeed did witness through time the Miracle in the future. Although this is a bit large to swallow!
Belief in Garabandal asks you to swallow two or more camels:
Who am I to disagree with that and see it as a model for Joey...I think I can accept that.
a bit hard, but yeah I can see it.
If others do not accept or do not have all the facts then they are left with common sense. I do not ask them to swallow a camel on this, neither are they "detractors". Certainly at this stage, many are entitled to close the book on Garabandal. Its a bit much to swallow now.
Another strike:
Although the "Warning" has been prophesized through Sr. Faustina, Maria Taigi, St Campion(dont know his first name). The follow-on "Miracle" to my knowledge is not in the symphonic deposit of the prophecy of church saints and mystics.
For most this should close the book on Garabandal but not on the Warning.
ARBY
Arby.
There will not be any warning.
The illumination of conscience as Jesus said to St Faustina is the FINAL coming. NOT a warning.
Jesus also said to St Faustina, "Woe to those that do not recognise my visitation"
If those who continue to believe there is this 'fearful' warning one that is so devastating. Well, you have not understood scripture at all.
You also have not understood Jesus' message to St Faustina.
Why do so many Catholic people love to search more than what Christ told us?
This is totally against catechism.
To those who promote false prophecy.
2 Corinthians 11
And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."
This is what the church said some time ago.
Yet all the promoters have constantly ignored the Bishops.
Copies of all the Local Bishop & Rome's Official Declarations
English Translation of Official Declaration below:
From 1961 until 1965 four teenage girls saw visions of the Virgin Mary, the Christ Child, and angels. They received messages of the coming Chastisement, a coming warning, and a future miracle.
What is unique about this phenomenon is that almost all the games Satan plays were used with these girls. THIS WAS NOT A FRAUD. There is too much evidence of the other world here. It all started when the girls decided to steal some apples from the school teacher's tree. They were thrown to their knees by an invisible force. In this first apparition they saw an angel. It must be remarked that angels do not allow humans to kneel before them.
SATANIC
Throughout the four years of the apparitions all the powers of Satan were used. The girls were taken into the air many times One time one of the children was lifted over the top of a building. They were made to do ungodly movements of the body: taken swiftly above the ground, down the rocky hill hundreds of feet to meet "The Lady?". In every case the children were FORCED to their knees in a quick undignified manor. Many times they were forced with their heads backwards in a position that could not be done naturally.
All of the children were heard to speak in LANGUAGES they did not know. On one occasion they prayed the "Our Father" in Greek. The girls were seen LIFTING each other up above their shoulders to kiss the lady. However, at other times, three grown men could not lift them.
Several times the girls were found SCREAMING. There were many "SIGNS IN THE SKY" seen by many people: moving stars, hosts, images, etc. In one case a fire was seen and the "Virgin" claimed that she had come in this FIRE.
In one very celebrated case the "angel" gave communion to Conchita and the host could be visibly seen by everyone. She was told to hold out her tongue until the "Virgin" came. She stayed with her tongue outstretched and the host on it for a long time. Many photographs were taken.
LANGUAGE
In almost all the apparitions the girls entered into dialogues with the "Lady" about all kinds of NON-SENSE things, like how the Lady liked their clothes. The children were given the "Child Jesus" to pass around to each other like a TOY. Never once in the thousands of true apparitions we have studied did Christ or Mary ever say a SINGLE WORD that did not have a salvation meaning for the soul.
I want to leave here my most sincere condolences and saddened by the passing of Joey Lomangino. Not much to say. I am so devastated by this news and constristado that caught everyone by surprise to us who believe in the apparitions of Garabandal. The only thing I can say and I know for sure is that the death of Joey is a very evident that the Great Warning and Great Miracle is tremendously next sign, since the death of Joey's little wonder, is really a sign. My deepest to the entire family of Joey and all who knew him, worked with him feelings and knew personally.
"May the Good God receive the soul of Joseph Lomangino the Glory of His Kingdoms of Heaven, and he can now and forever live in peace next to Mary, Our Mother in Heaven and to Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. Amen".

Notice in point 6, the Bishop says “it is FINAL”
Statement by Bishop Msgr. Jose Vilaplaua of Santander on alleged apparitions
at Garabandal – issued on 11 October 1996
“Some people have been coming directly to the Diocese of Santander (Spain) asking about the
alleged apparitions of Garabandal and especially for the answer about the position of the hierarchy
of the Church concerning these apparitions.
I need to communicate that:
1. All the bishops of the diocese since 1961 through 1970 agreed that there was no supernatural
validity for the apparitions.
2. In the month of December of 1977 Bishop Dal Val of Santander, in union with his predecessors,
stated that in the six years of being bishop of Santander there were no new phenomena.
3. The same bishop, Dal Val, let a few years go by to allow the confusion or fanaticism to settle
down, and then he initiated a commission to examine the apparitions in more depth. The conclusion
of the commission agreed with the findings of the previous bishops. That there was no supernatural
validity to such apparitions.
4. At the time of the conclusions of the study, in 1991, I was installed bishop in the diocese. So
during my visit to Rome, the ad limina visit which happened in the same year, I presented to the
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith the study and I asked for pastoral direction concerning
this case.
5. On Nov. 28, 1992, the Congregation sent me an answer saying that after examining the
documentation, there was no need for direct intervention (by the Vatican) to take away the
jurisdiction of the ordinary bishop of Santander in this case. Such a right belongs to the ordinary.
Previous declarations of the Holy See agree in this finding. In the same letter they suggested that if
I find it necessary to publish a declaration, that I reconfirm that there was no supernatural validity
in the alleged apparitions, and this will make a unanimous position with my predecessors.
6. Given that the declarations of my predecessors who studied the case have been clear and
unanimous, I don’t find it necessary to have a new public declaration that would raise notoriety
about something which happened so long ago. However, I find it necessary to rewrite this report as
a direct answer to the people who ask for direction concerning this question, which is now final: I
agree with [and] I accept the decision of my predecessors and the direction of the Holy See.
7. In reference to the Eucharistic celebration in Garabandal, following the decision of my
predecessors, I ruled that Masses can be celebrated only in the parish church and there will be no
references to the alleged apparitions and visiting priests who want to say Mass must have approval
from the pastor, who has my authorization. It’s my wish that this information is helpful to you.”
My regards in Christ,
+Jose Vilaplana

If being wrong qualifies one as a prophet, assuming enough spin and verbal manipulation, then let's stop messing around and simply canonise everyone in the world. After all we can all make false predictions.
Watch this. "England will win the 2014 World Cup".
You see. Simple.
All I can say is Joey is seeing EVERYTHING today... Please read this - Glory to God http://pegponderingagain.com/2014/06/19/garabandal-apparitions/
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May he and all the holy souls in purgatory rest in peace. Amen - Both Joey & St. Padre Pio can see just fine today.. I say this in all sincerity, test me. Read my blog. I truly have been through the Fire.
This is what our Lord has allowed me and continues to allow me to see.. I have been living in a perpetual state of knowing I have seen this before, as it was all told to me, since 1997. See my post REPENT REPENT REPENT. http://pegponderingagain.com/2013/09/28/repent-repent-repent/
I’m not afraid to speak about it, nor tell the events or story. I have nothing to hide. I fear only our Lord. Test me. Question me. Put me through the wringer. I have nothing to hide nor embellish.
Glory to God.
The comments certainly show - how shall I say? - a certain ignorance about the whole matter. Things are never what they seem, and Garabandal has always been a mystery wrapped in an enigma. It still was never condemned, either by Rome or the bishops of Santander. In fact, the bishop has visited the village twice in the past two years, and the village priest has been allowed (by the bishop) to talk about the apparitions and the messages. Again, things are not what they seem. Do not be so quick to condemn without looking into the matter a bit more. There are innumerable books out there by recognized theologians who have covered every aspect of these visitations, even the parts that don't quite 'fit'. There is nothing in the messages that were condemned. They simply repeat and remind us of what we need for our salvation.
This is a sad day, because a child of God has passed away. Just as sad a day as when any child of God passes away. In our faith we believe that we will eventually get to heaven.
I can tell you that I know a little about Garabandal. I do not know that much though. My understanding is that there were things that many people witnessed that made people believes in this apparition.
I have seen Joey on EWTN I don't know him but he seemed like a nice and sincere man. I will not judge him or the visionaries as I do not know them and I do not know what transpired.
It seems to me, that something happened, supernatural, fake, or the power of suggestion, I do not know. The church has said it found nothing supernatural to be going on there. This is were I have a hard time with the church. It is too vague. I think in my own opinion it should safer to yes, approved, which would take a long time, or No, and at this time, NO one may go. As people really misunderstand the means of these vague words at least I do sometimes. To people who were there, that saw a miracle they cannot explain, to tell them that nothing supernatural happen, is probably going to be hard for them to swallow.
I think another problem is we are all so hurt and we are all looking for miracles, for hope to back up our faith and we put our faith into things that we should be more careful about.
If more people would read there bible, go to Mass, pray and go to confession, we would all be better off than following these supposed apparitions.
I am afraid of the people who follow Medjgorie because so many people still go after the bishop has said much on it. I believe though, people get confused.
I am not a believer in Medjagorie, it is my personal feeling that maybe something in the beginning did happen, but I definitely don't believe it is still happening, and there was a lot of deceit and lies. The church has come up with statements, but still let people go.
So I guess to me it boils down to a few things.
I think for me it would be helpful for the church to use stronger language, and to say NO you may not go and No you may not believe. At least in that case there is no confusion. If the Church is wrong then, oh well, they made a mistake, but by allowing such vague language, and not putting there foot down. They allow this craziness to continue to the point they cannot stop it.
The second is many people are confused, and are hurting they need something more to believe in because they are so hurt, that these suposside apparition bring them comfort.
I think in the end, something needs to be done in the church, and by the people, to make these things less dangerous to leading us astray.
As I watch the confusion over medjagorie, and knowing people personally that have had experiences over there and people I know have received a healing wether by supernatal, natural, or by the power of belief, the placebo effect, something did seem to happen.
I am greatful that my friends had a heailing but I will not go to Medjgorie until the Church approves it. I think it is too dangerous, and if found to be false in the end, with it millions of followers, that it could really destroy the faith of people. I feel that it is also the responsibility that the Church becomes more verbal and takes more action on these things. I believe it is better to be wrong, and condemn it then it would be, to allow people to fall into something that is not true and to let it get out of control as it is now a days.
As a catholic I have no authority to say that it is true or not true. That is left for the church. I just believe that we really need to be more vigilant about the things, in the area of the church and those who follow it.
Joey, remember us. Pray for us. In God the Father' arms rest in peace and love.
God the Father;
"Be not afraid of your Father, for I Am yours and you are Mine. All Power is in My Hands and I make great exceptions in order to unite the world. Many souls are indifferent to Me. They shun Me, deny My Existence and insult My Divinity by placing false gods, made of molten gold, before Me. All that is made of clay will be replaced by a renewed existence. Nothing on this Earth is eternal. Everything turns back into dust. All that is eternal is not of your world. I created man in My Likeness. I blew forth life and you were given breath and it is I Who will take it away. All begins and ends with Me and no man can or will dictate how I will unite My children. That task is Mine - not yours. My Plans to salvage souls - the good, the bad and the wretched, will not be destroyed. Damaged, perhaps, but never ruined, for all that I say will be and all that I desire will come to pass."
Obviously Joey WILL see....the entire beautiful tapestry of what he devoted his life and trust and faith for....his Blessed Mother....on the day of the miracle with eyes that none of the limited human vision can compare to.
Nothing went beyond that in the original message. If further interpretations were made with mere human assumptions, well, that had a limiting effect.
The only ones continuing to be deceived are those who refuse to see the obvious state of the world and thus the fulfillment of the messages of Garabandal that point to the refusal of people to heed the warnings and the effects of that....as is the state of the world and the persecution of the Church from within and without. In fact, Joey's life of faith and obedience and love is a real miracle that should be admired and modeled.
Rosie
Beautifully said, Rosie. May we all be blessed with eyes to see as Joey did, for the salvation of others. And may we all give even a fraction of the effort he did to spread Our Lady's messages.
God rest his soul. Prayers for his family.
from the Spirit Daily lead article on the death of Mr. Lomangino at the very end of the article
"Sorry to read about the passing of Joey Lomangino, I’ve communicated with Joey twice over a 12 years period and he always took time to write back to me, he brought me great comfort! I know Joey is in 'HEAVEN'! In a book on Garabandal 'She Went in Haste to the Mountain,' towards the end of the book one of the visionaries said that just before the 'the Warning' someone very close to the Garabandal story will die, and many followers faith will be shaken in the apparition of Garabandal; Joey fits this prophecy. I know no one outside of the visionaries closer to the story of Garabandal than Joey! We are now at the doorstep of destiny! Keep the Faith!" -- Mark C. Lawrence, Hamilton, NJ
Does the anonymous commentor who quotes Jeremiah and Deuteronomy not want sinners to get a warning? Does this anonymous person only want the second coming with no chance for the clueless to get a warning? Well perhaps our Merciful Father will give us sinners a Warning. He has given warnings through the Holy Spirit for time eternal through the prophets because He is slow to anger and rich in mercy. You may have your pleasure in 'shutting the book on Garabandal' but maybe you are incorrect about how the next events will play out.
lET'S SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON THOSE WHO POST OLD INFORMATION. THERE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION OF GARABANDAL,INCLUDING AS RECENT AS 2007 THE ARCH BISHOP OF SANTANDAR REQUESTING INFORMATION, POPE BENEDICT REQUESTED AND WAS SENT ALL THE WRITTING S OF FR. LAFFENUER,BESIDES READING BOOKS ON GARABDNAL, AND THE VATICAN KNOWS THE DATE OF THE MIRACLE ,AND HAS NEVER ISSUED A FINAL DECISION !!!
Conchita received a letter, dated February12, 2007, from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read:
“I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject. What I have just done is authorize the priests to go to Garabandal and hold Holy Mass at the Parish, at any desired time, and to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to anyone that wishes to receive it. I am sure the next Bishop will promote further studies to examine in depth the Garabandal events and will send the findings to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome. I respect apparitions and have known of authentic conversions. How can we not always feel the need to open our heart to our Mother Mary to tell her that we need her protection, her help, her courage, her hope, her faith and her love when faced with these events! I encourage you to keep maintaining such devotion toward our Mother”.
Glenn Dallaire:
What other possibilities in interpretation do you think there are in: Joey will have new eyes and see the Great Miracle?
1. Joey won't be buried in Garabandal, Spain. So no miracle will happen with him. It can't be this interpretation.
2. Upon our death we will all receive new eyes, so it can't be that interpretation.
I've run out of interpretations.
I have followed this message for many years and I have always felt in my heart that Joey would be in heaven when the miracle happens and that he would have his heavenly body with his new eyes for all eternity. May God grant him eternal happiness and courage and strength for his family.
Do we believe these promoters anymore? There is such a long line of names who were meant to see the warning and miracle, but they are all DEAD.
Or do you believe scripture?

I have always had doubts about Garabandal... something was just not right about it: perhaps it was the attitude of the seers that made me wonder. Now all I know is: We can be very easily deceived if our faith depends on sensations. "...And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"".
I hope this works. Jesus reveals what He intends should be revealed, not what we desire, because we do not think as He does. The message of repentance is as old as the Gospel itself, and Jesus and Mary continue to reiterate it for those who are unfamiliar with it. Fulfillment of prophecy if it pertains to individuals may vary from what is written. prophecy is a living thing and history changes with the hearts of men, and so the outcome of what is said . We should place our trust in Jesus, and not what someone reports.
When I read that the seers ran backwards--which sent a chill down my spine--I decided to disregard Garabandal (along with the fact that there not approved). There are very many approved apparitions, more than enough to keep us busy. And, if you still have free time, read the Bible, the Catechism, Papal Encyclicals (all are online), or books by St JP II or Pope Emeritus Benedict. In other words, the Catholic Church is overflowing with richness--why waste time with nonapproved visions? I find "God-Sent: A History of Accredited Apparitions of Mary" invaluable and extremely interesting (by RA Varghese). Look it up!
Joey went home. He is with God. Nothing changes. The Message is the same past, present and future. The Message is the same, regardless of who She gives it to, where in the world She gives it, when She gives it, or how. God doesn't change. His Mother and Her message doesn't change. Yes, we are sad by Joey's passing. But we stand firm about The Message. Non-believers and dissenters will use Joey's passing for evil purposes. That too, is all part of His plan.
Suppose I was to say that Our Lady told me that there was to be a great war in France next year. Now next year rolls round and lo and behold no war. You ask me why nothing has happened. I then tell you I meant a "spiritual unseen war in the heavens over France between angels and demons". ..and that such a war in fact had taken place.
Do you understand that if I resort to using that kind of specious argument I could justify pretty well anything.
If I had specifically said 'There will be a spiritual war in the heavens over France next year ', well that would be different.
If Conchita had said Joey's eyes will be healed in heaven, well that would have been fine. But this is not what was said. It was stated and interpreted at face value. She had 50 years to clarify or correct that common interpretation if she felt people had read more into her telling of Our Lady's words than she meant at the time.
Everyone's eyes will be healed in heaven, we will have new bodies. Why would Our Blessed Mother say something so trite?
That's correct. Moreover, given that she knows the date of the Miracle and therefore that Joey would be at least 84 when it happened and possibly 112 then it would require only very basic arithmetic to work out that there was a good chance he would be dead before that date arrived.
If her meaning was misinterpreted, then the situation of Joey dying and that misinterpretation being used as a reason to doubt Garabandal and write it off as a fake or a diabolical deception was not exactly hard to anticipate in any of the last 5 decades.
If people doubt Garabandal now, then the main seer Conchita only has herself to blame. It is a perfectly reasonable thing to doubt given the above argument.
The very bottom line is this: one's faith should never be in a person or persons; rather, our faith should be in God. Isn't that the basis for all "true messages"? A call to mend our ways, pray and lead a charitable life. Once we hear the call, we should then strive to do just that. There are so many beautiful saint's writings and the richness of scripture that would take a lifetime to study. Messages from Our Lady and/or sweet Jesus all have been a call to return to a prayerful, repentant and Christ-like life. So let's get on with it so that when our time comes to stand in judgement, we are ready. May Joey RIP.
The great Miracle and all the others happenings were delayed by the Mercy of God.
It should have happened more than a decade ago. Sister Lucia of Fatima,
should have seen the Triumph of The Imaculate Heath of Mary, but she died in 2005.
So Fatima, is false ??? Of course not!!!
Padre Stefanno Gobbi, Medjugorje, JacareÃ, and others appartions confirm that Our' Lady's Triumph was delayed by the Mercy of God.
Dont be alarmed. Dont lose your path. Stay in the way to holy.
Peace and well
Eternal Rest grant onto Joey's Soul O Lord and May Thy Perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in Peace Amen!
It never fails to amaze me how ignorant we are in general of the basics of Our Holy Catholic Faith!
The fact that Joey or anyone else has passed on without the apparent fulfilment of his personal message
does not and could not ever constitute proof for or against an apparition.
The only thing that can prove or constitute proof for some supernatural happenings is that it contains nothing against Faith Nor Morals taught by the Magisterium of the Church for centuries!
There is absolutely nothing in the messages of Garabandal that were given between 1961 & 1965 that go against the Magistirium of the Catholic Church.
Garabandal is nothing more nor less that a wakening up call to humanity to return to Prayer, penance and holiness of life before it is too late, confirming what we already know from many prophecies down through the centuries, of a warning, chastisements in which 3/4 of humanity will perish, the great Miracle, the return of the greater part of humanity to God and His One True Church, the ensuing Reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as promised in Fatima for a time, the second general apostasy, the Reign of the Antichrist and finally the overcoming of the Antichrist and the second coming along with the Last Judgement after which will come about the Messianic Kingdom of a 100 thousand years as foretold by St. John in the Apocalypse!
All personal messages and prophecies are by their very nature subject to the persons personal correspondence to grace, to teach other wise would be heretical as it would be conferring some kind of infallibility or automatic confirmation in grace to a human being which not even the Pope enjoys except when he declares a Dogma of Faith on Faith or Morals and at no other time in his human existence!
The fact that the seers of Garabandal denied the apparitions as Our Blessed Mother foretold would happen does not and cannot invalidate the apparitions in themselves, it only serves to show how fallible and week we human beings are especially when we are subject to pressure for all sides.
All posterior opinions or interpretation of the messages are nothing more nor less that personal human and falible opinions which have no weight whatsoever in validating or invalidating the original messages given by Our Blessed Mother in Garabandal!
The main message here is Prayer, Penance and Holiness of life so lets get back on track and fulfil the Holy Will of God in our daily lives!
May Our blessed Mother grant us all the grace to live and die in Her Love Amen!
Just a little thought..
"Joey will see the day of the miracle"
Maybe he did "see" the day of the miracle before he died.
It might not mean he would no longer be blind before he died....
His death is not a sad day its a glorious, happy and joyful day for a faithful Catholic going to meet Our Lord.
I'm not sure if the apparitions are authentic or not but there are plenty of other apparitions that have warned about these terrible days of apostasy.
We have all been blessed with Our great faith and Our Lady has been sent many times to remind us all to remain focused on her son and his commandments.
We are truly blessed to have Our mighty Catholic Church with all the beautiful sacraments.
We all have be blessed with an awareness about these times and now have a responsibility to remain faithful to our Church's teachings and allow Our lord to use us in his plans.
We must increase our efforts in prayer and we must strive for real holiness and purity in this very disturbed and confused world. I live in pagan Ireland and I have regular conversations with very angry anti-catholics who hate the Church and all the truths it teaches.
They think I'm silly and stupid for having any faith in our church and have no problem letting me know this, as well as them being in complete favour for abortion and same sex marriage. Im sure everyone reading this is having the exact same encounters.
I always tell these people that Jesus warned us in Holy scripture that we would be hated as he was hated before us.
I obviously feel pity and sadness for a lot of the people I encounter but it also reminds me of the great need for prayer for their (all of our) conversions and for us to be the salt of the earth and the lights in the darkness.
So regardless of whether I believe in these apparitions or not I just want to say that when Im on a forum like this it brings me joy to be with gods people and I pray that each person on this blog is able " to see their own miracles in each day.
You are all special and beautiful people and I'm privileged to be on a blog with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
May Our bless you all and continue to send the Holy Spirit to guide us all.

The timing of Joey's passing is not a coincidence!
Yes, the date 18 June means a serious hint regarding The End Times (Cfr.Daniel 12:1a "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people").
The Garabandal apparitions are apparitions of Saint Michael the Archangel and the Blessed Virgin Mary (Cfr.Wikipedia). On the 18/6/1961 St.Michael appeared for the first time to the four visionaries in Garabandal. On the 18/6/1965 St.Michael appeared for the last time in Garabandal and delivered the Second Message of Our Lady.
Therefore, we should be aware that the prophesies in The Book of Daniel regarding the End Times is now being fulfilled. St. Michael has appeared in Garabandal as the fulfillment of Dan 12:1.
If you want to know about the fulfillment of Daniel prophecies, read The Messages in in which The Book of Truth (Dan 10:21)is being given to mankind.
God bless you.

That very thing occurred at Fatima, and yet Fatima has been approved by the Church as worthy of belief.
Both Lucia and Jacinta stated, several times, that Our Lady told them that World War I would end on October 13, 1917.
However, we know for a fact that the war lasted another 13 months.
So, the seers of Fatima made an erroneous statement, yet that did not impact the validity of the appararition.
Likewise, the seers of La Salette made statements regarding future events that appear to have failed, yet that apparition is also approved.
There is nothing in Conchita Gonzalez's statement that indicates Joey Lomangino would need to be alive at the time of the prophesied miracle.
When it comes to prophecy, we must be careful not to assume that we understand what is being said, even if it looks fairly simple at first blush.
We know from Sacred Scripture that prophecy is not always easy to understand. The Olivet discourse is enigmatic, and the apostles didn't always understand what Our Lord was telling them.
Joey Lomangino's death has no bearing on the authenticity of the alleged apparitions.
Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in peace.

"Joey will see the day of the miracle." He is dead!
"Padre Pio will see the miracle." He is dead.
"Father Ramon Andreu's two other brothers Marcelino and Alejandro would live to see the Miracle at Garabandal." They are both DEAD.
"There will be only 3, no 4 more popes, then NO MORE." hummm "Father Luis body to be found incorrupt after the miracle.” His body has been dug up, it's not incorrupt.
Let's hear what God says...
Deuteronomy 18:22
"when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously."
what do you all know what will happen the day of the Miracle. God is Almighty and Master of the Universe.
He can resurrect the dead if this is His Will. The day of the Miracle will reveal it all.
God takes away and brings back whoever He wants. The world is in enormous turmoil and if He doesn't want some of His people to go thru it, He can take them away and bring them back if that is what He wants.
DARKNESS COVERS THE ABYSS
In a world so full of darkness
hearts transform into harshness
mouths are hurling insults
living the Me, Me, Me, cults
A brother killing his brother
a daughter killing her mother
kids who choose rather
than to obey, to kill the father
a world drenched in the occult
and in God refuses to exult
has chosen its own direction
thus asking for Your correction
As in the times of Noah, we are in the days
You spoke of in so many different ways
we live in the end of time as we know it
in which finally Thy Kingdom will be legit
Please Lord, let Your Light
more than ever be so bright
let it shine upon each faithful son
to achieve the victory already won.
Jesus will triumph in the final victory over the devil

Saint John Paul II died on the vigil of the annual Feast of Mercy,
but also on the First Saturday. The Pope wore the brown Scapular, Among the promises of the Scapular is that those who wear it will avoid hell and be delivered to Heaven on the first Saturday of the month following their deaths.
But also: He was "Fatima' Pope". In Fatima Our Mother said:
"Jesus wishes to make use of you to make Me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart".
Do you know The Five First Saturdays devotion? :-)
April 2, 2005 :-)
Oh, have you read book of Eusebio Garcia de Pesquera OFM? you can read it here:
http://stjosephpublications.com/books_page.htm
There were lots of misundrestandings around Garabandal, because people understands Heaven's Speach literally, while "Heaven reality" and "Earth reality" are different.
Greating from Poland! (sorry for mistakes, English is not my mother tongue).
Believe in Garabandal!
Joey Lomangino was a true Apostle of God and Our Blessed Mother.
The Message he preached was Mass, Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, Scapular, Morning Offering, and Repentance. He said God can’t work on an empty cylinder (read). He always pointed to the Catholic Church and obedience to it. He never made a dime on promoting the message of Garabandal. He was blind, hard of hearing and he said 15 decades of the rosary a day. He was a very holy man and it does not matter who thinks Garabandal is true or false, time will tell. Rest in Peace Joey, you deserve it!
THE BLESSED MOTHER'S 2 MESSAGES OF GARABANDAL
Our Lady's 1st Message of Garabandal:
October 18, 1961-- We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us.
2nd message:
June 18, 1965-- As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.
RIP Mr Lomangino,,,you have started a new life with God ,,,pray for us...i have read all your comments, and some made me sad,,,brothers and sisters, let us concentrate on preparing ourselves to meet God,,If only you know how much Our Lady loves us, you'd cry with joy,,i was called to Medjugorje 5 yrs ago by Our Lady, and my prayer life changed for ever...a call to conversion,,,time is so short , we must lead a Holy life , peace must take place between men and God and between man...words from Our lady,,Medjugorje will be approved just like Kibeho, because they both happened the same year..as for Garabandal,,i only heard about it last year, and i found the apparitions disturbing,,i prayed about it,and Jesus said to me focus on me, i am ...so i will say nothing negative about Garabandal, yes the devil is clever and tells great lies..but God is in control..and Garabandal is not fake, nor is Kibeho or Medjugorje...do you really think our mother will let the devil mess around with her children for 4yrs and do nothing ?she said after Medju she will not appear on earth again,,these are the times of Graces...if you are worried about the events of the world ..read St Matthew Chapter 24,,, It's all there..Our Lady also encourage us to read the Bible...i believe .....peace be with you ,,,
So, now Joey has been granted the same privilege as Mother Mary? His body and soul are united? Remember, basic Church teaching - that was only granted to one human being. It will take the Final (not Particular) Judgement to have that happen to all other souls. That argument alone is cause for worry for it is false.
Our Blessed Mother does not come in a triangle of fire. The Providence of God (colloquially know as the "Eye of God") which manifested itself in Garabandal is not the same as the Providence of God. The true manifestion does have an eye but it is surrounded by radiating light (much like the Sun). The one she came in was surrounded by flames. Does this remind anyone of where else we can find flames? Walking backward or slithering and even going against gravity are not signs from Heaven. A "host" on the mouth for hours is also not a sign from Heaven as it could possibly be spit out, dropped or used for other purposes. God would not allow such an act!
The incorrupt body of the priest? Incorrupt is incorrupt is incorrupt.
All the supposed false prophetical events have been given new "twists". Ask yourselves who is the great confuser/deceiver/liar?
God is precise. Our Blessed Mother has always say, "yes" to His Will. Why would She change a message from Heaven? To confuse us, to deceive us or lie to us? NEVER!
Start "thinking" with your soul.
First off, I want to say that I FIRMLY BELIEVE IN GARABANDAL despite all the evidence to the contrary. Isn’t this exactly what happened in Jesus’s time? All the prophecies talked about a coming king who would conquer with riches and glory and all of Israel expected that but instead Israel got a poor carpenter king who was killed. Don’t you doubters and nay-sayers realize that this is how God generally works??? You should know the way God works by now. He often tests our faith.
Secondly, as to the prophecy about the 3 popes – don’t people realize that Conchita’s prophecy came true. After Pope Paul VI then came John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. Pope Francis is the 3rd pope! Conchita was inadvertently prophesying that John Paul I would not last long as pope. So the count starts at John Paul II.
Thirdly, not many people are aware of this but there is also a prophecy from Garabandal that states that “an event would take place that would cause many to disbelieve in Garabandal.” Maybe this is it. Years before Joey died, unlike many people, I used to often think that he would die before the miracle and that this would be the very thing that would cause people to doubt. The prophecy was that Joey would receive a new pair of eyes. Maybe this will occur in his tomb. Also how can we doubt the possibility that maybe God will cause his body to temporarily rise again miraculously in order to see the miracle with new eyes and to verify Garabandal. St. Rita’s body was known to rise in the grave miraculously after she died. Many dead people were seen to rise after Jesus died. Who is to say that this might not happen again? Jesus said that in times to come miracles will be performed even greater than what He did. I think we can continue to expect greater miracles to come that will blow our socks off!! I believe Joey will become canonized as a Venerable just like Leon Dupont, that is MY PERSONAL PROPHECY. I had the honor of meeting him once and I was so struck by his sweetness and charity. The word charity truly applies to him. I also witnessed personally that he had the gift of discernment of spirits and could read souls to some extent. I will honor God by asking for Joey’s intercession in heaven my needs.
They are not dead spiritually.yes mortally. Secondly, Joey was not a prophet. You are running from the truth and not trusting in God. Cant you se he is testing us. Look at the facts. The Blessed Mother touched the hearts of a few young girls in garabandal and gifted them to be an instrument, a messenger. Why you ask Because your real mother in heaven loves you even as you speak and doubt her. Her love is unconditional.
Bottom line God gave you free will choice to believe or not and he will not interfere with free will choice simply because he loves you and wants to se how much we love him back. This is how he tests us, through love.
God Bless you all on this board.
Nck
So, if Conchita were to die before the Miracle, what explanation would the Garabandal cult conjure up to explain it?
Perhaps it is time for the Vatican to issue an updated statement on Garabandal, seeing that this unapproved apparition is taking on a life of its own.
"You shall see on the very day of the Miracle"
Even Joey, a devout Christian, has to spend time in Purgatory. Each one of us that repents and dies will spend time in Purgatory as every debt must be repaid. For some it could be short, for some it could be many years. It is important that we pray for souls in Purgatory to help them get out sooner.
I believe that Joey will see on the day of the Miracle. Joey will enter Heaven and see the Beatific Vision of God on the day of the Miracle.
The Miracle will occur in 2016.
I'm curious. What makes you think that the Miracle will be in 2016? If you go by Garabandal standards that would make next year a possiblity for the Warning.
We are not forced to accept an apparition as if it were dogma. Therefore, this would not be a test. For a test requires that our belief in a dogma is not questioned. Garabandal nor any other apparition falls under this category. Stay with the
Church. The bishop in his letter said that what the previous bishops had ordained about Garabandal, that bishop used the word, "final". Obedience to Christ's chosen. THAT is a sign of a true apparition: one of the fruits is obedience. Does not satan come "as angel"at times (St. Paul's words)?
Garabandal is turning into another Medjugorge Unlike Fatima, these two cause discord and anger amongst the Faithful. Think, PLEASE.
Long before The Church approve The Diary of St. Faustyna, this book was on The Index Librorum Prohibitorum (because of what - because of bad translations and misunderstanding God's words). The Holy See forbade circulation of "images and writings that promote devotion to Divine Mercy in the forms proposed by Sister Faustina".
But people in Poland do believe and pray The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, despite the picture of the Merciful Jesus were taking out of the churches - were they obedient? - yes, they were obedient to Our God.
Do you undarstand why Pope Paul VI abrogated from Code of Canon Law two cannons: 1399 and 2318 in 1966? What a suprising move. But why he did it. Why? Because we could hear what Our God says to us. Why? Remember that the enemy inside The Church does not sleep and do everything to interrupt.
Dear friends, please make an effort and read at least the book of fr. Pesqera about Garabandal to talk about.
Medjugorje's fruits: thousands and thousands conversions and confessions. Good or bad fruit? Good or bad tree?
Lisa: read Mr Lomanginio's website about Garabandal.
Since Benedict XVI we have the end of times, final times (I dont know how to say it in English to express it properly). Maybe: the period of time which is last in history before comming back our Lord Jesus Christ as The King.
I don't know what the big fuss about Joey dying is all about. Have you all OVERLOOKED the fact that Conchita was SURPRISED when Padre Pio died? She is the one who SUPPOSEDLY knows the DATE of the Miracle. DATE would include the YEAR. He was already in His 70's. Did She really expect He was going to live to be 124?
Ela R. Camps,
The Miracle of Garabandal: 12 May 2016 (a Thursday) — feast of Blessed Imelda, martyr of the Eucharist, and the vigil of the feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
The Warning of Garabandal: 25 March 2016 — Good Friday.
He, meaning Padre Pio. Pio was already in His 70s when He died. If Conchita KNEW the DATE of the Miracle, then She HAD to have known it would NOT have happened in Pio's natural lifetime.
Oh I sure hope so!
The miracle will coincide with a: Great and RARE Event in the Church. Any ideas what is going on the month that makes you think it should be that day?
Garabandal visions were Heavenly. Did we listen to what Our Lady asked us to do ? Nothing else matters. (NZer)
I have to admit, I too was concerned when I heard of the death of Joey and the prophecies. But I will leave the decision up to the Church on the matter. But watching the film of the Garabandal, those girls seem to do too many things in sync, eyes fixed straight up and running, sometimes even backwards, and levitating. I do feel something supernatural happened there. Their movements, returning rosaries to their rightful owners while holding handfuls of rosaries, still while staring straight up, just doesn't seem to be ordinary.
I was surprised to read an article on Spirit Daily website yesterday about a person, still alive, who was close to Padre Pio. He claims Padre Pio felt the visions were true for the first two years, and after that Satan entered Garabandal.
Rosanna,
The article from SpiritDaily which you referenced implies that Padre Pio initially believed that Mary was in Garbandal. He then changed his mind. The statement at the end of the article quotes a site that claims the superior of Padre Pio stated he met with a Garbandal 'seer' and that Pio always approved of Garabandal. We know now that is not true.
Padre Pio was a human who made mistakes like everyone else. He started out believing in Garabandal. He made a mistake. He changed his mind. No matter what Padre Pio thought ... pro or con ... the Church has the final say. And the Church has, 8 times, declared Garabandal to be not of supernatural origin. There are only two other origins: natural or preternatural.
I believe it to be preternatural - which must be kept separate from the supernatural. And apparently Padre Pio also came to that conclusion. Now all we have to do is wait for the church to make a new, final statement. I don't know what is motivating the church to continue to withhold that .... perhaps some politics and financial issues.
BOTTOM LINE: The incorruptable priest is corrupt in the grave. Lomangino is dead and never got 'new eyes' and the 'great miracle' didn't happen. The 'prophecies' failed. Combined with the fact that the girls admitted the hoax ... this kills Garabandal. Now the church has to officially declare it fake and suck up the $$$ loss from pilgrimages to Spain.
All this could have been avoided had the promoters never promoted this unapproved apparition in the first place.
To Anonymous
I have never heard that the seers at Garabandal admitted it was a hoax. Can you site your source so that we can read this for ourselves? Thank you.
To Anonymous. I don't mind that you don't believe anymore ,but at least have the courage to refute with truth not LIES. First , Fr. Andreu IS NOT TO REMAIN INCORRUPT. Digging up Fr. Luis Andreu's body in NO WAY invalidates the prediction, why ? Conchita, in a letter dated August 2, 1964, wrote this to Father Ramon Andreu (his brother) “On July 18 (1964), I had a locution in which I was told that on the day after the miracle your brother (Fr. Luis Andreu) would be removed from his grave and his body would be intact.” SO infact , the Blessed Mother said it would be " THE DAY AFTER THE MIRACLE ", NOT BEFORE ! The prophecy is still valid until then.
Consider this too, now that we know his body decayed, how much more of a greater miracle will it be when he is found incorrupt the day after the Miracle ?
Next, that the girls admitted its a hoax, BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENBED ! ONLY CONCHITA WAS PRACTICALLY TORTURED BY THE COMMISION DR PINAL , to get her to sign some bogus paper, after they admitted to trying to hypnotize her and cut off her hair ! BTW, the Blessed Mother promised that letter will disappear ,the DAY AFTER THE MIRACLE, to prove it was faked.
Rosanna, don't believe the non sense these nameless , faceless ,haters post. If you want the truth about Garabandal, come to my site. I worked with Joey (and was friends with him, and still am with Conchita ).

Thank you so much for your response. I will visit your Facebook page.
Well if even only ONE of the prophecies were to be carried out ? But NONE....need I say more.
The Prophecy is The Warning , Miracle & Chastisement. All were precluded with events which have not happened yet (involving The Pope, communism, and a synod ) And if you really understood Garabandal, all 3 precursors have been recently talked about happening .
Compare and see the messages are the same. Remember Akita has been approved my ther church.
Garabandal :
As my message of October eighteenth has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Akita :
“My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior.
As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.
The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres, churches and altars sacked, the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.”
Also there are very many Similarities in Messages at Rwanda which are approved by the church
To Marie-Clare: "I am concerned not only for Rwanda or for the whole of Africa. I am concerned with, and turning to, the whole world. The world is on the edge of catastrophe."
"I have come to prepare the way for my Son for your good, and you do not want to understand. The time remaining is short and you are absent-minded. You are distracted by the goods of this world which are passing. I have seen many of my children getting lost and I have come to show them the true way."
To Alphonsine: "I love a child who plays with me because this is a beautiful manifestation of trust and love. Feel like children with me because I, too, love to pet you. No one should be afraid of their Mother. I am your Mother. You should not be afraid of me but you should love me."
At the last apparition: "I love you, I love you, I love you very much. Never forget the love I have for you in coming among you. These messages will do good not only now but also in the future."
To Anathalie: "Wake up, stand up. Wash yourself and look up attentively. We must dedicate ourselves to prayer. We must develop in us the virtues of charity, availability and humility."
To Stephanie: "Repent, pray, change your life."To Vestine: "The walk to Heaven is through a narrow road. It is not easy to get through. The road to Satan is wide. You will go fast, you will run because there are no obstacles."
To Emmanuel: "There isn't much time left in preparing for the Last Judgment. We must change our lives, renounce sin. Pray and prepare for our own death and for the end of the world. We must prepare while there is still time. Those who do well will go to Heaven. If they do evil, they will condemn themselves with no hope of appeal. Do not lose time in doing good and praying. There is not much time and Jesus will come."
Jesus to Agnes: "The youth should not use their bodies as an instrument of pleasure. They are using all means to love and be loved and they forget that the true love comes from God. Instead of being at the service of God, they are at the service of money. They must make of their body an instrument destined to the glory of God and not an object of pleasure at the service of men. They should pray to Mary to show them the right way to God."
Jesus to Emmanuel: "I am Jesus before whom all humanity stands."
"I am neither white nor black; I am simply Lord."
"The priests and religious do not take enough care of those who are ill physically and morally. If they have promised freely the vow of chastity, they must observe it faithfully."
"How can someone say he loves Jesus, adores Him, and live outside His Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart? My Mother is the Mother of the world."
"The world will come to an end. Prepare while there is still time. When I return on earth, the soul will find the body it had before, and then man will bring his own dossier. Do not lose time in doing good. There is not much time left."
"Too many people treat their neighbors dishonestly. The world is full of hatred. You will know my Second Coming is at hand when you see the outbreak of religious, ethnic, or racial wars. Then, know that I am on the way."
Well, it is a shock I must admit, but remember that Our Lady also said that shortly before the Warning and Miracle, something will occur which causes many to disbelieve in Garabandal. This looks to me like it. Her words to Conchita were that Joey "will see the Miracle". Thus we assume that meant he'd be alive and with new eyes. But plainly it could be only our human interpretation that is wrong. he could be right there, in Garabandal, along with Padre Pio, as risen Saints, permitted to be present and witnessing the Miracle which takes place there. And if so, then he will be seen too, and all will wonder in awe. Why not? Garabandal is set for a sign which will be contradicted, just like Jesus was. The walking backwards is indeed challenging...but does not automatically make it a demonic apparition.

RawlingsRob: anyone who tries to convince you that Garabandal had anything demonic knows nothing about this apparition. Yes there were 2 main messages Mary left, but MORE importantly she left us a "daily message" : Repentance,Confession,Mass, Communion, the Rosary, the Scapular, that is the real message of Garabandal. How anyone can say it is demonic,is ridiculous.
To Charles Fears and all, for daily discussions ,current information, and the largest library of facts on Garabandal, check out my FB page. BTW,it is the ONLY site on the entire internet that has access to Conchita.

Glenn H.,I refuse to get Facebook, so that shuts me out of your updates, but I stumble upon information now and then that keeps me up to date. Condolences to you because I know you were friends with Joey.
I also post on the " Mother of God " forum. http://motheofgod.com/
Sadly this is what happens when so called prophecies don't come true, like Medjugorje the children were doing something they shouldn't be doing, hardy a bridge to God, more an opening for satan. The evil one will accept 99% truth if he can introduce 1% of lies.
Have any prophecies or statements by Mary come true yet ?.
Yes, there are prophecies and statements by our Blessed Mother that have come true already.
#1.She said "less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist". Mass attendance is dramatically down. If people truly believed in the Eucharist, why would they not attend mass ? Imagine how sad this makes Jesus.
#2." Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them." - Some are misguided with their own personal agendas, others have hurt children, others have given in to temptation of evil. This is why we must pray for priests.
#3. " No World War 3 " There has been none since she predicted this. In my opinion,
in WW1 & WW2, the world was equally divided, you were either on one side or the other politically. The Middle East ( which has been fighting since the beginning of time it seems) and other countries, like Korea, seem to be headed there again . It is possible to have multiple large scale wars ,but for different reasons. Obviously, the Middle East war , might not have anything to do with a conflict in Korea, or between Russia & the US. It is possible to have the world at war but not in the sense of the world equally divided as it was with WW1 & WW2.
#4. Padre Pio would see the Miracle. When Conchita found out Padre Pio died in Sept. 1968, she met his close friend, Father Bernardino Cennamo, at Lourdes, and asked him, "How is it that Our Lady told me Padre Pio would see the Miracle and he has died?" Father Cenammo responded, "Padre Pio saw the Miracle before he died. He told me himself."
#5.The increase of abortions. Among the fulfilled prophecies of Garabandal was one that only came to light with the publication of a German book [Garabandal — Der Zeigefinger Gottes.] on Garabandal in 1992. The author, Albrecht Weber, was in Garabandal on the day after Conchita's last apparition at Garabandal on November 13,1965, and had a long conversation with the visionary. The following excerpt from his book deals with some of what the visionary told him: She [Conchita] spoke quite openly about the developments by which men in the near future would rebel against God. On the day after Our Lady's last appearance at Garabandal, Conchita asked the author, "Can you imagine how somebody could kill children in the womb without thereby killing the mother?" The author spontaneously answered, "No! What gave you that idea, Conchita?""Well, the Blessed Mother spoke about this and she let me know that this will happen with the overflowing of the chalice." [In her second Message of June 18,1965, the Virgin said, "Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over."]Conchita said this tremblingly without being able to visualize what it really implied. She said further that it disturbed her very much but that she felt ridiculous because she hadn't understood at all how this killing could be effected. The Blessed Virgin had not explained it to her and up until that moment, nobody had been able to make her understand it at all.Conchita would learn soon enough when abortion became legalized, even in her native country. The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time .
#6. The predicted appearance of the Communion host on Conchita's tongue. Conchita called this the " Little Miracle". For some time, the girls pleaded with the Blessed Virgin and Saint Michael to perform a miracle to convince those who would not believe. On June 22, 1962, Saint Michael told Conchita, that in response to this request, God would permit the invisible Host to be made visible on her tongue. Conchita announced this “little miracle” fifteen days in advance.
On July 19, 1962 at 1:30AM Conchita left her house in ecstasy, turned a corner and dropped to her knees in an adjacent lane. She put out her tongue. Those just inches away affirmed that it was bare.
In a startling flash, a brilliant white Host materialized on the girl’s tongue. Alejandro Damians, a businessman from Barcelona with a borrowed movie camera and flashlight illumination, took several frames capturing in black and white contrast this miracle of the Visible Host. Multiple eyewitnesses present that night, standing near Conchita, also testified publicly to the sudden appearance of the Host.
Padre Pio died at age 81 in 1968. Concinta said she was "surprised" that he died before the miracle. Well, it is 2014 now,46 years latter; did Concinta think Padre Pio was going to live to the age of 128, at the very least?!? A priest was predicted to be found incorrupt the day after the miracle. His body was needed to be re-buried because of a construction project - there was nothing but bones. There was suppose to be only 3 more Popes after John XXIII - now we are on #5. Concinta said Joey was going to have his eyesight restored "on the day of the miracle" and the "first thing he would see would be the miracle."
Anonymous, you can twist this anyway you want, thats fine, but the if you bothered to actual investigate these stories ,you'd would realize that after 4 years of the Blessed Mother appearing to a simple teenage girl of FAITH, who had countless MIRACLES performed and happen to YOU everyday, you trusted what Mary said, why would you question it ? You are looking at this from the perspective of someone who has not experienced what she did.
Second Fr. Luis 's body (as YOU clearly stated ) is supposed to be intact ....THE DAY AFTER THE MIRACLE ! NOT BEFORE.
AND AGAIN ,it is 4 Popes and Conchita clarified ( because she herself did not count JP I becasue of his short reign ) is about marking the " end of THE times". This means the end of an era, NOT the end of time, or how many popes there are. You might not have noticed ,but we currently have 2 popes alive at one time, that hasn't happened in over 600 years, so that is a pretty good indicator of " a new era".
As for Joey, we will know soon enough ,at the day of the Miracle what she meant. Not everything is understood immediately. Here's a little story to prove my point.
Mary kisses a Powdercase ?
I have a rarely heard story of Our Lady kissing a woman’s powdercase. We know most of the stories are about kissed religious objects, but this is different. The reason I post this ( besides being a rarely heard story ) is that it reminds me of we don't always understand everything that happened at Garabandal , until later on. I think this story proves my point. Never question our Blessed Mother's intentions.
One day Conchita was in the kitchen of her house surrounded by persons who were waiting for the moment of the apparition. On the simple table that served for the family meals, the objects that she was going to give to be kissed were being gathered. Together with these, someone had put there a stylish woman's powder case. The child and those present wanted this removed. How could the Virgin come to kiss an object so profane and used only for the service of vanity? Nevertheless, the powder case remained there.
The ecstasy began and those present saw with astonishment that the visionary's hand, without her looking at it, before going to any other object, went first of all toward the previously discussed powder case. The child raised it toward the invisible Virgin and then set it down with great respect on the table. Among those present, surprise must have been mingled with doubt. Was it really the Virgin who was appearing? It didn't seem that she would kiss such an object . . .
As soon as the ecstasy was finished, Conchita was asked for an explanation. And she declared that the Virgin had asked immediately for the powder case in order to kiss it, saying that it was something «belonging to her Son. The girl did not know anything more. But the person who had put the powder case there did know more and revealed the secret. During the terrible Spanish civil war (1936-1939) in the Red Zone when priests were being executed and had to be hidden, the powder case had been used to bring Communion Hosts to various locations and especially to prisoners whom the Reds held captive in order to execute. Thus it had served as a pyx.
Glen -- Beautiful comments you posted today. I read an article on Spirit Daily yesterday that I am unable to find on that site today, but it mentioned that perhaps the chastisement has already happened and we don't realize it. The article was talking about the spread of cancer. It said that the chastisement was to occur by human hands, and cancer is now being caused by things that we have done to our environment, including pesticides and other pollution. We are all expecting a dramatic chastisement, but God doesn't always work that way. Remember the birth of Jesus, He did not come with trumpets but was born in a lonely stable. God's ways are not our ways, perhaps we need to rethink how we interpret things. This is just a thought that I had after reading the article.
This is to your (Glen H.) response to my comments of July 4. I had posted it as anonymous but will identify myself as Joe to make communications easy. First you are very mistaken in making the assumption I am ill-informed about Garabandal. I have kept up on it since reading three pro books about the apparitions in the early 70's (including Conchinta's diary). Back then I also attended a presentation by Joey in Wisconsin. With the internet I have kept up reading both pro and con.
Joe continued. In the 1970's when I first read about Garabandal I tended to believe they were true. But how many "prophecies" have to not come to pass before one comes to the sad realization this is just not from God who can neither deceive nor be deceived. It is especially disconcerting when you read comments like those from Mari Cruz found at www.marcocorvaglia.com (medjugorje without a mask part 2
Everyday, we misinterpret each other here on earth, so why is it so difficult to understand that we have misinterpreted a message from heaven? Joey Lomangino was a true servant of God. What more can you do in this life than bring other people to GOD? And Joey did just that. Garabandal's messages: the WARNING, the MIRACLE, and the CHASTISEMENT will all happen. GOD does exist and HE is in everyone's very near future.
Chris Voelker
Rosanna, I can guarentee the Chastisemnet has not happened. Why am I so sure ? First there has been no Warning & Miracle. Second, when the girls were shown the Chatisement it terrified them so much, and the onlookers (to their reactions ) ,that the entire village went to confession the next day !
I don't see most people running to confession, and you won't until the Warning.
Joe, thank for your for at least giving a name to respond to. First ,I think I explained what you called "failed prophecies",so I dont really see how you can still maintain that stance, without further proof from you that I am wrong. Second Agreed, Mary Cruz has always been the least competent witness, but if you are as up on your garabandal knowledge as you say,you know she was the first to lose the apparitions, because she was held back by her parents from attenting the "calls" .
In an 2006 interview she was asked that
Q. Were you happy when you saw the Virgin?
A. Yes. More so now because it seems like a dream.
So its not entire denial. Second , the other three have NEVER denied seeing Mary. As I explained above, her parents forbid her to go ,and the Blessed Mother insisted on obedience to their parents, so subsequesntly, she did not receive the visions of any special messages like the other three.
Which ever "anonymous" I am speaking to, I never tried to say he would regain his sight in heaven. Even I am perplexed by this ,BUT what I have witnessed first hand can never be denied or debated, which is Joey was responsible for countless conversions, healings ,miracles of all sorts through the Kissed Medal of Mary. My faith is so strong that nothing will convince me that the 3 prophecied events will not happen,as Mary Predicted.
I hope you have the same "conviction" to come back one day and after the Warning & Miracle to apologize to our Mother & Brother in Heaven.
I have been watching for many years the "Garabandal Story" and Joey's death made me think twice. But with your comment in reference to Joey's death and the Garabandal timing, it made me think way back to 1953 when I was 11 years old and I had a car accident. While lying in the street unconscious I remember going (in spirit) over to my mother's house (apartment) and seen her drinking coffee and in her slip (she would never let us see her in her slip). My mother was taller than me, but when I saw her in "spirit" I was taller than she was. In spirit I heard my cousin calling from the street and my mother went over to the window. I was next to her and we "both" heard my cousin calling and saying, "Richard had a car accident and he is lying in the street bleeding!". Right then and there my mother dropped the cup of coffee and ran out of the house (housing proyect, 10th floor). She later said that she was so nervous that she ran out of the apartment in her slip and ran down the stairs and when she got to the 8th floor she noticed that she was in her slip and ran back into the apartment to put her dress on. The last I saw of her was when she left the apartment running out until she came over to where I was lying unconscious and kneeled down by my side and started praying. Coming out of the "coma", I heard her praying: "O, Dios mio" she began; "Oh my God please don't let my son die. I will serve you for the rest of my life and will always go to church and say the Rosary if you let him live!". She never missed a day in church for 45 years after that and always said the Rosary every day until she died on October 13, 1998. October 13 was the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima (Out Lady of the Rosary). Your article has made me think twice again about the mysteries of God. Also, what has helped me stay on the "Garabandal Story" for so long was the fact that I had dreamed 6 months before the "Garabandal Story" (December 16, 1960) in which I saw myself ascending towards heaven and there I met Jesus blessing the USA and I felt exhalted and overjoyed. I started to immitate Jesus and began to bless the earth also and at that moment I looked down towards earth and saw a sudden flash of light and then I saw two planes crashing over Brooklyn, New York. What I saw of the earth in the dream is 100 % similar to the earth's view on Google Earth. When I saw the planes crashing with eath other I immediately abandoned Jesus and descended towards the sight of the crash and I saw people lying on the street filled with snow bleeding and moaning and as I ran towards them I bumped into what appeared to be a great glass wall which prevented me from going over to help them. When I bumped into the wall which I could not see, I exclaimed: "Oh, God, why!?" and the dream ended there. For 54 years I have been thinking of that dream and I still don't know what it meant. In 2014 I am still trying to hang on in there. Not easy though.
Sorry, but in my post on 7/9/2014 2:30 pm I forgot to include that my dream of December 16, 1961 had come true on the same day I dreamed it. On Friday of that day at around 10:30 am it ocurred.
Sorry AGAIN! Date of my dream of the two planes crashing over Brooklyn, New York was December 16, 1960 NOT 1961. I believe Joey's family lived around there or had a business close to the accident. I also added some numbers up, like the number of the planes and number of victims, etc and it added up to the number of the address where Joey lived or had a business. Sorry AGAIN!
recardocerromor, that is an amazing story. Yes , we don't always get the answers we want "in our time, but God's time". Garabandal is filled with stories of events that people did not understand immediately, but later on in time ,the explanation came.
This is one famous story of when our Blessed Mother was kissing "religious objects only". One day a she asked to kiss a "woman's cosmetic compact". The Girls were shocked she would kiss such a vain object, when she herself asked for only religious objects?. Well it took some time but later it was revealed that that compact was used during the war as a pyx to carry the Eucharist to soldiers !
So ,not everything is at it seems. I think of how proud our Blessed Mother will be of those who did not lose faith in her promise or messages.
Anyone who is interested , I still have the largest Garabandal only facebook page, and the only page on the entire internet that has access to Conchita, please feel free to stop by and acheck it out.

Rest in Peace, Joey !!
In relation to My Dream of 1960 there is a video on youtube of the accident entitled 1960 plane crash over brooklyn new york
As to Garabandal, for faithful Catholics the negative decrees by the local bishops should suffice, as obedience is now what is required. But let me point out a few other things. Go to http://www.marcorvaglio.com and open up “seers in Search of Inspiration: Medjugorje and Garabandal (part 2).” Here is a interview Mari Cruz gave to the Spanish Paper “La Pais June 17, 1984. She is here in her 30′s and already has all her children. Here are a few things she says: “I have never seen the virgin or any celestial being.” I remember how Conchinta who always use to organize jokes invented everything.” “The people tormented us so that we see the angel and the Virgin, and those fanatics to write in messages, as always happened in other apparitions like Lourdes and Fatima”. I wrote to one of the better known Garabandal promoters from France and he stated Mari Cruz (one of the last 3 of the original 4 “visionaries’ alive) represents “the Jews” in her present denials !!! Conchinta made a number of minor prophecies. They have all not come about. I will give the prophecies and what website promoters have actually responded as to how these will still come true. A priest who died going home from Garabandal will be found incorrupt the day after the miracle. When his grave needed to be moved because of construction the Jesuits found only bones. Explanation – bones now, but the day after the miracle then it will be incorrupt. His two Jesuit brothers would witness the miracle – they died and the great miracle has not occurred yet at “the pines.” I have not heard an explanation on this one. Three more Popes after John XXIII then the end of the era. We are now on #5. Explanation “is not the fact we have two popes at same time a new era.” May I humbly say it is certainly no more a new era than last time a Pope resigned in church history. Padre Pio will see the miracle. Explanation, Padre Pio was given a vision of the Great Miracle before he died. Well, I certainly have no way to verify this but one curiosity I have is Conchinta said she was “surprised” by the death of Padre Pio in 1968 (since she had already stated he would see the miracle.) Since Conchinta knows the date of the miracle, it is now 2014, surely she did not think Pio would live anywhere near 128. Explanation given, Conchinta was just a simple country girl who trusted the words of our Lady at face value. Finally, we have Joey, who after Conchinta met and conversed with him in Garabandal wrote him a letter stating he will be at the pines on the day of the miracle, and the first thing he will see will be the miracle. Joey was always convinced this promise would be fulfilled as stated. Explanation, Joey got new eyes in heaven and can see the miracle there or maybe he saw it before he died. My goodness, God does not play games. He does not deceive. Garabandal aped approved apparitions like Lourdes and Fatima with hundreds of “apparitions”, walking backwards at a rapid pace over rocks, levitating, and the Blessed Mother doing things like “playing hide and seek” with the children, and finally the supposed “minor miracle” of Conchinta’s visible communion. A “miracle” that Conchinta admitted to Fr. Pelletier was not really thus. She told him she stole the host from the Church. It was not administered by an angel as she told the crowd. How about a simple parlor trick where it dropped from the roof of her mouth? Remember when the Church ruled “not supernatural” (from God) that did not rule out that some parts might be preternatural (from the devil). I don’t know if it was all just pure deception and crowd exaggeration, or if the devil may have played a part. I suspect in this case it was just the former. However, we can all stay clear of the dangers we open ourselves up to by being disobedient to the Church. Just obey if common sense can’t sway you.
I have read on the web that Joey clarified what Padre Pio really said to him was "go in discernment." Can anyone verify this in some way. This would make perfect theological sense. This was the early 60's before the local bishop made a decision of not supernatural on Garabandal. The faithful are allowed to make prudent discernment before any official declaration by the local ordinary. If a negative decision is given, the worldwide Catholic faithful are bound to assent to the decision of the ordinary, unless and until it is overridden. It is really sad to see Catholics state "I am awaiting the decision of the Church" when the Church has decided in the local bishop. If the bishop is mistaken, the all-powerful God will have no problem overcoming any obstacles. Just as at Lourdes, where the obstacles were much more severe. I am well aware people say Mother Teresa and Mother Angelica state Garabandal is true. If this is the case, all I can say is even saints make mistakes and sin at times. There have been numerous cases in Church history that saints have made errors in regard to private revelation. However, it would sadden me greatly if Mother Teresa would truly give such bad example as to encourage disobedience against a bishop in a matter like this. Then again, maybe the accusation is not even true?
Joe ,your entitled to your opinion ,as I am. The huge difference is you read about Garabdnal, I live it. Ive seen countless Miracles first hand, and conversions for the Garabandal medal kissed by Mary. If this is not from God, why so many miracles, and coversions ????
First of all Padre Pio NEVER SAID "go in discernment", how do I know this, Joey NEVER said ,as I knew him personally for 20 +years, second it is not told that way on HIS own web site. So lets try not to discredit Joey or Padre Pio with this lie, or this conversation stops here.
Secondly Mother Teresa was GODMOTHER to Conchita's daughter, so that in and of itself speaks volumes. No need to further elaborate.
Third,if you're going to throw "Bishops opinions" in the mix, lets talk about the most current opinio. In April 2007, Joey Lomangino, received from Conchita a letter, dated 12 February 2007, she had herself received from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read: “I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject.
THats sounds pretty encouraging to me,using my "common sense".
Glen, I asked for clarification on what Pio said to Joey as I have indeed read elsewhere on the Web that Joey had clarified it as "go in discernment'. Since you knew Joey for 20 years and he never said that to you I will dismiss the discernment remark as false. I want to say one thing about good fruits/bad fruits. Medjugorje has been pronounced "constat de non supernaturalitate" - it is certain it is not supernatural origin. That is far from the safe zone for the faithful. Yet I have come across numerous good fruits e.g. Jim Crivezal says he was converted through Medjugorje and has made 6 visits. He states he would never have made the movie 'The Passion of the Christ' except for Medjugorje. Yet I have also seen and heard of many very bad fruits. It is good you have seen good fruits from Garabandal. I have seen bad, like very traditional Catholics that go schismatic and say "Pope Francis is a false Pope. Conchinta said there would only be 3 more.' I have actually read such comments on the web. Will people who have mistakingly based there faith on false apparitions eventually loose it? For over 50 years I have had a strong Devotion to the Blessed Mother, I pray the rosary, I pray and fast for priests, I visit the blessed sacrament, I wear Our Lady's scapular, I know the value of and make sacrifices. I hold faithfully to all the Church's doctrines, and I would never think of disregarding the wishes expressed by the local ordinary for fear of offending God by disobeying Mother Church, which to me would be a sin against the fourth commandment. I don't need Garabandal which to me seems not only opposed to the official decrees of the Church but for reasons I posted above down right silly and a scandal to our Protestant brethren and agnostics and atheists that read about it. I live in Wisconsin, and in Champion Wisconsin there is the ONLY approved Marian site in the United States. There is a beautiful shrine and grounds there. The apparitions took place in the late 1850's and one of the first great miracles there was when the largest fire in US history, the Peshtigo Fire of 1871, that consumed 1.5 million acres, surrounded the shrine but would not enter its blessed grounds. The many who had fled there were all spared from certain death. This is an undisputed fact of history. Since then many miracles of healing have occurred there. Our Lady's message there to the visionary was to get busy and start Catechising the immigrants of the area. She started doing this and then established an order of nuns. Why don't US Catholics go there ? Why do they have to travel overseas to seek revelations not even approved ? I wonder if the main message of Our Lady at Campion to teach and hand on the faith is a bit more difficult than seeking messages of warnings, permanent public miracles and chastisements which to me seem to very much simulate Gnosticism - secret knowledge - which was the chief heresy and heartache of the first 4 centuries of the Church.
Glen, one more thing in passing. I realize you have devoted a great deal of energy and part of your life to Garabandal. I was just wondering, have you ever tried teaching grade school kids in CCD? Have you ever coordinated a high school Confirmation program? Have you volunteered your time to be on an RCIA team? I have spent multiple years doing all three. Just wondering if you have. It will give me a clue as to what you really see as important in the area of evangelization.
Joe, I taught CCD for 20 years for 5th and 6th grades (those "wonderful teenage years :)
Also I want to clarify something you keep saying which is ONLY half a quote. You mention the 3 Popes quote (when actually I have shown Conchita did correct it and say 4 Popes. SO now its 4 more popes UNTIL THE END OF THE TIMES. Meaning the end of an era, not the end of time or the end of the popes ! Joey had several Spanish language professional, make sure this was translated exactly, because the word " THE " is so important to the message.
Glen, I am impressed and glad to hear you spent 20 years teaching CCD. This has given me a greater impression than anything before I had seen you write. I will at least listen. Maybe I can learn something. When did Conchinta change it to 4 (as one Pope just a short reign not counted.) She originally told her Mom 3 after John XXII, correct?. When did it change. I am wondering here about an after-the-fact prophecy. I am well aware of the end-of-era or end-of-the-times translation as that was how it was translated even in the early 70's I have always been using end-of-era, never end-of-times in my posts.) How do you explain Mari Cruz's complete denial of Garabadal as an adult? I can't think of an instance in Church history a recipient of an approved private revelation denied it ever took place. To the contrary visionaries like Bernadette suffered greatly to the insistence that what they saw was true. When you look at the dignity of former apparitions and how graceful and beautiful the recipients looked to onlookers why are you not disturbed by aspects of Garabandal like running backwards, levitation, etc. This does not sound to me like the supernatural, especially when you throw in things like the children denying the apparitions at various times over multiple years, Conchinta stating she stole the Eucharist from Church (published by Fr. Pelletier in a book in the early 70's. Any of the above in themselves, would make me discount the apparitions. Finally, give me your impression of apparitions as a money making enterprize. At medjugorje the "visionaries" have become rich with there only job being getting paid for spreading the message. With built up wealth they have built large house-hotels that further there income. Ivan has a 5,000 sq foot home with pool he bought in the US for over $800,000 and paid off within one year (he also has a home in Medjugorje with plenty of rent-a-rooms. Then there is all the tourist companies that bilk the pilgrims in this trade. Not just a lot of TV evangelists have learned there is a lot of money in religion. I know of a story about Garabandal where a company promoted big-time to come to Garabandal for the day of the warning. It was a complete disaster with thousands of pilgrims coming to a place where they did not even have proper toilet facilities. I realize in this case none of the visionaries were involved, yet money concerns me when I see apparition sites having their flight bookings. Enough questions for now, I will await your response.
Any one who wants to make a pilgrimage and is near Wisconsin, or wants to travel there, here are the two places I can't recommend more. Holy Hill (The Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians). I have had people tell me it is more beautiful than Lourdes. Check it out on the web. This is about 20 Miles north of Milwaukee. Second is the shrine I spoke of in above post, Shrine of Our Lady of Good Hope. It is also on the web. This is 15 miles east of Green Bay, and is as I stated above, the only approved Marian apparition site in the United States. They are places of great grace, and you don't have to pay large travel fees to go to places of suspicious character.
Joe, first things first..I AM THE BIGGEST PACKER BACKER there is ! I fly out to GB at least once a year for games. I also have a case of the Lambeau Jumbo Hotdogs, frozen and flown out to NY for the season ! Some of the items in my collection have been sought after by the Packer HOF !
You can look ne up on facebook,if you want to see the pics of the collection.
Joe, OK now to your questions. Here is the whole story on the 4POPES saga, and IT IS NOT after the fact but during as you will read.
The four Popes after Pope John XXIII rather than three… This is rather startling news to those who had read only about “three more Popes…” Actually this was reported in a book in the German Language book published in the early 1990’s, but it seems that most followers of the Garabandal drama were not aware of this and apparently are still unaware of this. Conchita said at the time of the death of Pope John XXIII that Our Lady had told her that there would be three more Popes and then would come the end of the times.
Albrecht Weber, the author of the book “The Finger of God“, had become involved in Garabandal in 1963 and became friendly with Conchita. On November 14, 1965, the day after the last apparition of Our Lady in Garabandal, Mr. Weber interviewed Conchita at her home in the presence of her mother. There was also present with Mr. Weber an interpreter. During that interview, it came out that when Conchita had spoken, on the very day that Pope John XXIII died, of “Three more Popes and then would come the end of the times,” her mother had asked her several questions.
In response to one of her mother’s questions, Conchita responded that Our Lady had actually said that there would be four more Popes but that She was not counting one of them. When Conchita’s mother heard that she strictly forbade Conchita to repeat that again as her mother feared there would be erroneous interpretations and much gossip. People might wrongly believe that one of the Popes might be false or bad, etc. During that conversation with her mother, Conchita also said that Our Lady had told her that one of the Popes would have a very short reign.
You must understand what Conchita was referencing . When she was told that there would be 4 more popes, then it would be" the end of the times" this meant an "end of an era." The prophecy had nothing to do with the future number of popes, it was MARKING A PERIOD IN TIME.
Joe, as to Mari Cruz, I have explained the one thing Mary insisted on is OBEDIENCE ! So when Mari Cruz's parents could not take the pressure from family & friends in the town , they forbid her from going to the appritions,so subsequently, she stopped having them. You fail to mention that the other 3 girls have firmly held to their belief, and maybe that's why Mary blessed them so much. Conchita must have been fairly convincing to have Padre Pio & later on Mother Teresa as trusted Friends.
You mention the walking or running backwards as a negative, when all the townspeople who lived there realized it was the proof they needed ,that this was in fact supernatural. This is a rocky mountain area, so if these girls could fall on the rocks without getting hurt, or run so fast that Men could not catch them (running forwards and backwards ),it convinced them to listen to the messages of Mary. Repentence, confession, mass, communion, the rosary, how is this anything but from GOD ?
BTW,Conchita has NEVER profited a penny from the apparitions, and as a matter of fact, she sold her house in Garabandal to strangers, just so no one could accuse her of later profiting from it.
Pope Francis is not the 4th Pope but the 5th Pope as described by Conchita. Pope Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict and Francis. So this prophecy regarding the Popes fails.
Anonymous, how does a prophecy fail when it says it is the end of an era? If I'm not mistaken, it certainly sounded like a the end of an era when Benedict stepped down, and we had 2 popes alive at the same time (hasn't happened in over 600 years, Gee, that sounds like a new era to me .
Joe, First of all you think as an adult, these girls were 11 years old ,and in reality had the intellect and emotional maturity of a 7 year old ! They had NO IDEA who St. Malachy was, they didn't even know how to do a rosary yet ! It was Albrect weber who took the time to do a proper and indepth interview, that's why he discovered the 4 popes clarification.
Conchita NEVER did anything in disobedience to the Bishop or church. You show me were she was forbidden to talk, and did an interview.Didnt happen.
Here's another Unity Publishing LIE, Conchita stole the host. Well, here's the link to Fr. Pellitier's book,. GO TO PAG 105 AND READ FOR YOURSELF, SHE WAS ACCUSED OF THAT BY NON-BEILIEVERS, she didn't say that ! As a matter of FAQCT go to page 107, and you will read eyewitness testimony there was nothing on her tongue and it just appeared.

Hey, I am not a believer in Garabandal but as to the number of Popes I think the post by anonymous above has the thread wrong. The original report was that on the day of the death of John XXIII Conchinta stated there would be 3 more Popes to the end of the era. She had told her mother that is what Our Lady had told her. Then a German author publishes a book in the early 1990's where it is reputed what Conchinta actually said is there is one Pope Our Lady did not count because of such a short reign) I have a problem here because John Paul I died in 1978 and the book comes out in the 1990's with the reputed conversation with Conchinta back in the 60's. Is this after-the-fact prophecy? Well anyways Paul VI, John Paul I (discounted), John Paul II, Benedict the XVI equals 3 Popes. This is the "end-of-the-times" or end-of-era as the translation goes. Now we have the new era in Pope Francis. If I believed in Garabandal I would be thinking this is the new-era because the great escatological events of the permanent miracle, world-wide warning and possible Global Chastisement will take place during his reign. What am I missing here? Why are you talking Glen like the retiring of a Pope is a big deal, the end-of-the-time. It has been done before in Church history and it was no big deal. As a matter of fact, after Pope John Paul II, and everyone seeing how very ill he was at the end of his reign, how hard it was to have the strength to deal with some pressing things that needed to be dealt with, I think Papal retirements will become much more common if they do not die while still in good health. This is what prompted Benedict to retire and Pope Francis has said he does not rule out the option of retiring some day.
Well Glen, I could not come up with anything on the Bishop's silencing of the girl's in the late 1960's but I did come up with a signed 1998 letter of Bishop Jose Manuel Fernandez in which he states the events of Garabandal "are not supernatural". This is posted at the bottom of http://www.ewtn.com/library/bishops/garaband.htm
I had found an earlier letter that came about because of an EWTN inquiry to the Bishop of Santander about Garabandal. This is at:
http://www.ewtn.com/library/bishops/garaband.htm
At the end of this letter EWTN states "EWTN: It should be noted that this appears to correspond to the 3rd of the categories used by the Church since new norms were promulgated in 1978 by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith: it is not established as supernatural."
Since the Bishop is now,
by signed statement, saying "it is not supernatural" not just "it is not established as supernatural" there is no way I can see that a Catholic who wants to remain obedient to the Church can promote it. Even if it was authentic, which it is not according to the Church's strongest language it uses in regards to investigated apparitions since the new norms of 1978, one could still not promote or follow it. You know as well as I Jesus had in previous approved private revelations told the seers He wanted them to obey their superiors and the Church before anything He says to the visionary. For those who want to please Christ, they must have obedience bind themselves firmly to the Church. I am signing off for good for this reason. I know you state you have seen "many good fruits." God can write straight with crooked lines. He does it all the time. Unless the unlikely event comes about of the Church changing its verdict on Garabandal, I have to state in Christian honesty and charity, you should obey and stop promoting Garabandal. The bad-fruit of disobedience will be always present. And it can lead down a very bad road, indeed. As is often said: "Pride goes before the fall." And disobedience of Mother Church is a serious form of pride.
I see the line with the link to the Bishop's 1998 letter concerning Garabandal where he used the words "it is not Supernaral" failed to post. That site is:

The Church Position on Garabandal
The Church has a very strict and precise terminology for judging alleged apparitions (very few apparitions are officially approved). According to the norms of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, alleged apparitions are classified in one of three categories:
Constat de supernaturalitate - It is certain that the events are of supernatural origin.
Constat de non supernaturalitate - It is certain that the events are not of supernatural origin.
Non-constat de supernaturalitate - It is not certain that the events are of supernatural origin.
So where does Garabandal stand? In a clarificatory letter (English translation published in the EWTN website) dated June 8, 1993 written by Jose Vilaplana, Bishop of Santander (the local Diocese to which Garabandal belongs), the Bishop wrote the following:
All the bishops of the diocese from 1961 through 1970 asserted that the supernatural character of the said apparitions, that took place around that time, could not be confirmed. [no constaba].
Based on the above, Garabandal is classified in the 3rd category – it is not certain that the events are of supernatural origin. The Bishop did not say “it is certain that the events of Garabandal are not of supernatural origin”, which constitutes a condemnation of the apparition. Rather, based on the above note from the Bishop, the Church is not certain of the supernatural nature of the events – which means that the Church is leaving the door open for a possible positive declaration in the future, pending further investigation.
In a letter written by Bishop Eugenio Beitia Aldazabal dated July 8, 1965, he clearly wrote that “we have found no grounds for ecclesiastical condemnation.” Bishop Jose Cirada Lachiondo, in a declaration published June 1970, wrote that the messages of Garabandal “do not contain anything contrary to traditional Church teaching on Faith and Morals”.
The first commission which studied the Garabandal events, while stating that they found no phenomena which would authentic the supernatural nature of the events, clearly did not condemn the apparition and the messages, declaring that “we have not found anything deserving of ecclesiastical censure or condemnation either in the doctrine or in the spiritual recommendations that have been published as having been addressed to the faithful.”
The bishop who called the second commission, Bishop del Val, upon retiring from office stated in an interview that the message of Garabandal was “important” and “theologically correct.”
In light of the above, even though the Church has not given official approval yet, a Catholic may in good standing believe in the events at Garabandal. The local ordinaries have been very clear to avoid condemnation. In fact, the Bishops allow private pilgrimages to Garabandal – a typical practice when an alleged apparition has not yet been approved or condemned.
Contrary to various reports on Garabandal, the fact is that the apparitions have never been officially condemned by the Church, particularly by several of the local bishops under whose jurisdiction the apparitions fall. Although the apparitions have not been officially approved, they have not been officially condemned either. This is particularly because most of the important parts of the message – the prophetic messages foretelling the Warning, the Miracle and the Chastisement – can only be validated or invalidated upon their actual occurrence. We will never know if the prophesied events are true or not – until they actually happen.
DECLARED " NON-CONSTAT- IT IS NOT CERTAIN THAT THE EVENTS ARE SUPERNATURAL. The church is STILL open minded because the Popes KNOW the date of the Miracle, and will wait to see if it happens as Conchita predicted, then make a final ruling.
Gullible sheep. If this was spiritual, truly I say unto thee, it was of the devil. You've been duped. Millions of Catholics tricked into continuing in their sinful ways because they thought the "warning" was conveniently going to change them. They died in their sins. The Devil wins.
Please lump me in with the other "gullible sheep " like Pope Paul VI, Pope Benedict XVI, SAint John Paul II, Saint Padre Pio, Saint Jose Marie Escriva, Blessed Mother Teresa,Cardinal Ottaviani (Vatican Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) , ArchBishop of Oviedo Spain, ArchBishop Manuel Lopez of Mexico, Bishop of Fatima Joao Venancio. What a herd !
Oh ye of little faith, shaken so easily.
No they weren't gullible sheep. The people I'm talking about are those who cling on to these signs and wonders and put most of their emphasis on those empty promises.
Jesus has given us everything in the church with it's sacraments and teachings and apostolic successors and leaders. We need nothing else. Anxiety is what lures us away and it's these false signs and promises that deceive and lead away, "if possible, even the elect".
anonymous,You've made your point , no one is asking you to believe,so don't, and go on your merry way now.
For those who still believe,or want to learn more, I'll still be here.
If conchita is telling the truth, then our blessed mother is telling lies, isn't it?
Just because you can not understand God's will, does not mean it's not true.
Then you think you understand god's will and can judge the prophecies are true despite apparent failures?
No, its called "FAITH ". I worked with Joey, and saw "unexplainable miracles " from the kissed Medal. I can't explain how miracles work, other than to say, they do for people of FAITH.
I think we are living in interesting times. The Third Secret of Fatima, the interpretation of the vision of the 3 shepperd by Our Lady, has not been revealed yet. Her request of the Consecration of Russia has not been fulfilled by Rome.
There is a link here with the message of Garabandal. The Roman Curia has not yet been cleared about all this probably because it affects its status quo. The scandals in the church and its future demand a clean up from heaven. The Church will need to go through its own Calvary and go back to basics: Refuse Satan and the Masons and pledge loyalty to Our Lord Jesus.
Here's another of those "unexplained miracles" that no one can dispute.
JULY 18, 1962 “ The Little Miracle “
Here was a miracle, announced 15 days in advance ! At about 1 am ,Conchita is in ecstasy, suddenly a host appears on her tongue ! There is a very large crowd present. Alejandro Damians with his borrowed movie camera, catches on film the instant the host appears. Here is the link to a video: (appears at the 2:45 mark ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0OGaMzxRsc
The Miracle of receiving his sight back.... He did receive it...but not as we perceive it. He did get his sight back but not that we could see but for our Precious Lord and our Blessed Mother to see in the after life, our eternal life. Discernment, Praise Be To Jesus
42009Yes Mary you are correct. We don't always receive an answer in our time or our way of understanding.
My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor your ways My ways, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are exalted above the earth,
So are My ways exalted above your ways,
And My thoughts above your thoughts. (Is. 55: 8-9)
Also remember on December 6, 1962,Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided two more pieces of information regarding the Miracle: 1) One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. The doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle.
BISHOP OF Santander,
23rd August 2001-10-05
Mr Donal Foley Nottingham
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
Recently a number of people, like yourself, have approached me as Bishop of Santander, enquiring about the alleged manifestations of Garabandal and, in particular, about the position of the hierarchy of the Church regarding this matter. I have to say that:
1- All the bishops in the Dioceses, from 1961 to 1970, stated they had no evidence to support the supernatural nature of the apparitions that some people claimed were happening at that time.
2- In the month of December 1977 Mon. del Val, Bishop of Santander, expressed his agreement with his predecessors, and stated that in the six years he had been at the Bishopric there had been no other phenomenon.
3- However Mon. del Val himself, after the confusion or enthusiasm of the first years, commissioned an interdisciplinary study to study those phenomena in more depth. The conclusion of the study was in agreement with that of the previous statement given by the Bishops, that is, there was nothing supernatural in those supposed apparitions.
4- This study was completed around the time when I took charge of the Dioceses in 1991. Taking advantage of my visit to Rome for the visit ad Limina that year, I showed the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith the study and asked them for guidance on my pastoral advice about this case.
5- Dated 28th November 1992, the Congregation sent me their reply in which it is stated that, after having examined carefully all the documents, they did not find it necessary to intervene directlyor to withdraw this affair from the ordinary jurisdiction of the Bishop of Santander, which is his by right. Previous declarations from the Holy See agree with this statement. In the same letter it is suggested that if I considered it appropriate, I should publish a declaration to reiterate the fact that there is no evidence to support the supernatural nature of the alleged apparitions, and so make my own the unanimous position of my predecessors.
6- As the statements of my predecessors who had studied the case had been clear and unanimous, I did not consider it necessary to make a new public declaration and I wished to avoid drawing attention to matters which were now well in the past. However, I did consider it relevant to write this report as a direct answer to those people who seek orientation on this affair, which I now consider concluded, accepting the decisions of my predecessors, which I make my own, and the directions of the Holy See.
7- Concerning the celebration of mass in Garabandal, following the dispositions of my predecessors, I only permit them to be celebrated in the parish church with prior authorisation of the parish priest, and ask that no reference should be made to the alleged apparitions. Hoping this information is of some help to you,
+ José Vilaplana Bishop of Santander
Most current letter from Arch Bishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo
In April 2007, Joey Lomangino, received from Conchita a letter, dated 12 February 2007, she had herself received from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read: “I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject.
Unfortunately that means nothing.
There has always been the sacraments in Garabandal. This is what happens in a Catholic Church.
The current Bishop has NOT wanted to "promote further studies about Garabandal".
I witnessed the Bishop at the reopening of the church in Garabandal. He did NOT want to have this false apparition spoken about. He couldn't get away quick enough after this event, as there were many Garabandal promoters there.
Good try Glenn, but the Church has spoken against Garabandal and you are guilty of promoting falsehood.
Which ever anonymous this is, It is astounding how little research you have done since 2001. Maybe you have heard of Cardinal Ratzinger , he became Pope Benedict. He CONTINUED to acquire information on Garabandal as the Prefect (head) of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,at the Vatican.
Not only did he meet with Conchita, but he asked for information from the late Fr. Francis Benac, S.J. AND He has read the Garabandal book “ O Children Listen to Me “
So considering he was POPE,the head of the Church, ne NEVER had a single negative comment about Garabandal or its promotion, , he also issued this statement :
“preparing the great celebration of the centennial year of the first apparition of Our
Lady of Fatima in seven more years (on the 13th of May, 2017). These coming
seven years should hasten the fulfillment of the prophecy of the triumph of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity.”
Benedict XVI (Fatima May 2010)
Hmmm, sounds like he is waiting for the Garabandal prophecy of the Warning & Miracle !!!!
But I'm sure you're a much better judge that the Pope.
Oh Glenn Glenn Glenn. It is astounding how little research you have done and even more astounding how you do not even read what's posted, yet you make comment.
That letter José Vilaplana Bishop of Santander asked to be republished AGAIN was in 2005.
So even if it is true that Cardinal Ratzinger acquire information on Garabandal in 2001, he has NEVER given any 'positive' feed back of it. I actually doubt he did what you suggest.
Hummm I am 100% sure Benedict is NOT waiting for any unscriptural warning or miracle.
He may be waiting for the coming of Christ though.
Oh "nameless, faceless, anonymous " I was talking about as recent as 2010 , as he issued the quote about future events. Pay attention. You can doubt all you want ,no Pope has ever issued a negative word ,and actually our Newest Saint Pope John Paul ,was quite a vocal supporter. I believe the Pope is still the HEAD of the Catholic Church.
POPE PAUL VI QUOTES ON GARABANDAL
“ Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “.
Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said :
"It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it."
Pope John Paul II - ON Garabandal
There is a book on Garabandal, written by Albrecht Weber in 1993, entitled Garabandal Der Zeigefmger Gottes (Garabandal: The Finger of God), of which a first edition copy was presented to Pope John Paul II. He later asked his secretary, Fr. (now Archbishop) Stanislaus Dziwisz, to write to the author. In the subsequent printing (2000) of the book, on page 19, a portion of the Pope's message is reprinted, as follows:
"May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known. May the Message of the Mother of God find an entrance into hearts before it is too late. As an expression of joy and gratitude, the Holy Father gives you his apostolic blessing."
Weber writes, "From the attached greeting in the Pope's own handwriting, with his signature, it is clear how deep an interest he has in the events of Garabandal, and how anxious he is that they should be made known in a credible way."
On July 23, 1988, during a special general audience with the Pope at the Vatican ... "special" because it was held on Saturday, rather than the usual Wednesday... Father Robert introduced Garabandal Visionary Mari-Loli and family to him. Father Robert who was holding 7 year old Maria Dolores, one of the three Lafleur children, said to the Pope: "Your Holiness, a special blessing for your littlest children who come on behalf of The Blessed Virgin from Garabandal." Our Holy Father exclaimed "Garabandal!". . . And immediately kissed Maria Dolores.
As I read the comments on the death of "Joey" Lomangino, I was stunned at the harshness of
some people with their attacks on Conchita and the other visionaries, and I decided to add my
opinion. I have simplified my response to three areas of defense of Garabandal:
1. TIME;
2. YOU SHALL SEE;
3. AUTHENTICITY.
1. TIME. “Now only three (popes) remain before the end of time.” This word ‘time’ is all
important and is confused by those who want to subvert statements to their own ignorance. Look
to Scripture for your answer and you will not go astray! Jesus said: “The time is accomplished
and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel...Take ye heed, watch and
pray for ye know not when the time is.” (Mk 1:15;13:33). Again another verse says: “Behold they
(devils) cried out, saying: What have we to do with Thee, Jesus Son of God? Art Thou come
hither to torment us before the time?” (Mt 8:29). ‘The time is accomplished...’ simply means that
the ‘time’ of the Old Testament is completed, and now begins the New. Pope John Paul II
finished that part of the ‘time’ ofthe New, and so began the ‘times’ in which we now live.
An explanation of these ‘times’ is found in the Holy Bible: “And there were given to the woman
two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, unto her place, where she is
nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” (Apoc 12:14).
These ‘times’ and their meanings are revealed in Daniel Chapter 12. Conchita reported accurately
what our Blessed Mother said.
For those who do not want to believe, Jesus said: “If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy
day, the things that are to thy peace: but now they are hidden from thy eyes.” (Lk 19:42).
2. YOU SHALL SEE.
Jesus said: “But I tell you of a truth: There are some standing here that shall not taste death till
they see the Kingdom of God.” (Lk 9:27). The Apostles were all there and they died! The
Kingdom is not visible yet. Prophecy unfulfilled? Absolutely not! “And I, John, saw the Holy
City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband...And He that sat on the Throne, said: ‘Behold, I make all things new...Write, for
these words are most faithful and true.’” (Apoc 21:2,5). For those who doubt the power of God
and His words to Conchita about Joey, Jesus has something already written for them: “And the
Lord answered me, and said: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables that he that readeth
it may run over it. For as yet the vision is far off, and it shall appear at the end, and shall not lie.
if it make any delay, wait for it, for it shall surely come, and it shall not be slack. Behold, he that
is unbelieving, his soul shall not be right in himself, but the just shall live in his faith.” (Hk 2:2-
4). Conchita reported accurately.
3. AUTHENTICITY.
Did you ever wonder about poor Isaiah when he got the word: “For a Child is born to us, and a
Son is given to us...” (Is 9:6). Do you think Isaiah went around looking under each new born
babe’s blankets searching for the ‘Child’? Or did he just have the faith to believe? Have you not
read: “For the Lord God doth nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.”
(Amos 3:7). Heaven revealed to Conchita what is about to happen.
Personally, I have visited Garabandal. I went there wondering, was it real? Did I have the faith
to believe? What says Scripture? “Now, faith is the substance of things to be hoped for, the
evidence of things that appear not.” (Hb 11:1). I was there on a day in which there were only two
visitors at the pines. Sitting on the trunk of a fallen tree, I had time to reflect and ask questions
of Jesus and our Blessed Mother. Looking about that lonely place, I counted the pines, nine, and
I asked Holy Mary, why such an odd number, as nine in spiritual numbers means judgement. She
asked me what was I sitting on? The answer was the trunk of a fallen tree. There were obviouslyten trees at one time, corresponding to the Ten Commandments. One was broken, and Saint
James says: “Whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, is become guilty of
all.” (Jm 2:10). People at large have broken the Commandments and there will be a price to pay
for disobeying God and His Commandments, so there will be chastisements and punishments.
I believe the messages, foretelling of a “warning”, a “miracle” and a “punishment” (if people do
not correct their ways). I know the answers I received to my various questions were authentic.
Jesus said: “My sheep hear My voice. And I know them and they follow Me.” (Jn 10:27).
Conchita heard from our Blessed Mother.
Conchita deserves my prayers and yours no matter what your stance is. She has suffered the loss
of her husband Patrick, and a confidant in Joey. Yesterday, 5 August, 2014, I was prompted to
look up on the internet about Joey and there I found out about his passing. I read all the
comments, some with moving love, and others with abject disgust. Remembering the faith and
doubt and then again the faith of Saint Peter, I spiritually congratulated Conchita. “In the fourth
watch of the night, Jesus came to them walking upon the sea, and they seeing Him walking upon
the sea, were troubled, saying: ‘It is an apparition.’ And they cried out for fear. And immediately
Jesus spoke to them, saying: ‘Be of good heart, it is I, fear ye not.’ And Peter making answer,
said: ‘Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come to Thee upon the waters.’ And He said: ‘Come.’ And
Peter going down out of the boat walked upon the water to come to Jesus. But seeing the wind
strong, he was afraid: and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying: ‘Lord, save me.’ And
immediately Jesus stretching forth His hand took hold of him, and said to him: ‘O you of little
faith, why did you doubt?’ And when they were come up into the boat, the wind ceased.” (Mt
14:25-32). Peter got up and walked upon the waters back into the boat where he saw his fellow
apostles sitting in their comfortableness! You critics who sit in your comfort zones have not the
guts to get out of your smugness and believe. Conchita got out of the boat and walked, doubted
for a moment and sank, was rescued by Jesus, and she walked back across the water. All I can
say is: “Well done Conchita.”
I will be returning soon to Garabandal.
Vaya con Dios!
Galbally Pat.

WOW. Joey is dead?
Oh dear. This really means the Garabandal prophecies were not from God.
I don't believe Mary gets any prophecies wrong. This is not possible.
Joey dead. No miracle, no warning. No new eyes. :(
My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, So are My ways exalted above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts. (Is. 55: 8-9)
Oh, the depth of the riches Of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How imcomprehensdible are His judgments, And how unsearchable His ways. (Rom. 11:33)
Conchita & Jesus comment on belief of Garabandal
Conchita, diary jp204, 1966: He [Jesus] replied..."I want to tell you, Conchita, that before the miracle occurs, you will suffer much, for few people will believe you. Your own family will believe that you have deceived them. I am the one who wants all this, as I have already told you, for your sanctification and so that the world may comply with the message. I wish to advise you that the remainder of your life will be a continual suffering. Do not be freightened. In your suffering you will find me and also Mary whom you love very much... I will be with whoever suffers for me."
On December 6, 1962,Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided two more pieces of information regarding the Miracle: 1) One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. The doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle.
Don't forget what happened with St. Faustina Kowalska!! Jesus promise St. Faustina she would assist to the institution of the Feast of Divine Mercy!! St. Faustina died in 1938!! And the Feast of Divine Mercy was institued in 2000!!
She has assisted to the institution of the Feast!! But from the Heaven!
I spoke to Conchita and she too had no fears, stating she was happy Joey was in heaven with our Blessed Mother & Padre Pio. I have a strong suspicion we will be shocked and amazed at the Miracle ( and who is there, and our questions will be answered ). God bless the believers,Glenn
Glenn Hudson, it is a pleasant change that you quote scripture.
We do not know God's ways.
But those quotes have 'nothing' to do with the false prophecies of Garabandal.
But these do. We should thank God for giving us this words to help us discern.
How many people are dead who were meant to see the miracle? Lots!
Deuteronomy 18: 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him.
This scripture is suited for your work Glenn.
2 Corinthians 11
12 And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."
I have a big red flag up when there is a person or persons who spend all their time spreading the word of unapproved apparitions.
Glenn, you really need to be careful!
We are meant to spread the word of God.
These are also the words of God.
Jeremiah 23:20-22
20 The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intents of his mind.
In the latter days you will understand it clearly.
21 I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people,
and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
Margaret said:
I came to know only a few days ago about the passing away of Joey Lomangino and prayed for him.
We are all confused because Joey Lomangino passed away before the miracle took place without receiving back his eyesight as expected. Well, let`s not come to the conclusion that the prophecy is false. We know that prophetic words cannot be interpreted in the literal sense (i.e. word for word). They have a deep hidden meaning. It is only after its fulfilment that we become aware of the true hidden meaning. Before that it remains a secret.
Our Lady said that Joey Lomangino shall see on the very day of the Miracle. So on the
day of the miracle we will come to know the true meaning of these prophetic words.
Who knows, may be, because Joey was a devout and a pious man and a promoter of Our Lady of Garabandal messages, he will be given by God a special privilege of appearing in person with both his eyes open on the very day of the miracle and will be seen by all who know him.
People are also confused regarding the prophecy of the Popes. It was said that there are going to be only 3 popes after Pope John XXIII which is not the end of the world but end of a time. Most people had thought that John Paul II would be the 3rd and the last pope. But after Pope John XXIII there were 5 popes.
As for me, this does not mean that the prophecy is false. I feel that the human way of thinking or interpretation of the prophesy is false. I believe in the prophecy and feel that after the death of Pope John Paul II a period of time ( Era) has come to an end and a new time ( Era) has begun with Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. This could be the time of the Mercy of God i.e. the Warning (illumination of conscience) and then the miracle. During this period of time the people all over the world will be given the chance of repentance and conversion.

I firmly believe that the Garabandal prophesy of Warning is true because of the following two reasons:
Firstly, because of the contents of the third part of the Secret of Our Lady of Fatima released by Vatican on 26 June 2000 which I give here below:
The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fatima, on 13 July 1917.
I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine.
After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!’. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God. Tuy-3-1-1944”.
2 of 3
In the above highlighted sentences we read the words “immense light and mirror”. Immense light is God and what is the significance of people passing in front of a mirror ? When we pass in front of a mirror we see ourselves. In this case of course, we will see the state of our soul as God sees it.
That means that the Garabandal Warning is also mentioned in this third part of the Secret of Our Lady of Fatima. So it has to be true.
Secondly, in St. Faustina`s Diary No. 36 she writes: ” Once I was summoned to the judgement (seat) of God. …… Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is displeasing to God.”
This can be a hint to the Garabandal Warning which is the illumination of conscience.
We only have to wait patiently and prepare for this day with prayers and good works. If we are prepared, we will be in a peaceful state of mind when the warning comes but if we are not prepared then we will be in a state of shock and confusion.

"Anonymous " ,I doubt you would have the guts to say a single word to any of the following believers and supporters of Garabandal :Saint Padre Pio, Saint Pope John Paul II, Pope Paul VI, Pope Benedict XVI, Blessed Mother Teresa, Saint Jose Marie Escriva, Cardinal Ottaviani (Vatican Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) , ArchBishop of Oviedo Spain, ArchBishop Manuel Lopez of Mexico, Bishop of Fatima Joao Venancio, Blessed Maria Rafols, Blessed Madre Maravillas, Mother Angelica and others.
So your go ahead and make yourself feel better by attacking me, your words are like your identity , empty and meaningless.
I think that if Conchita were to die without the great events prophesied at Garabandal taking place, almost all would stop believing in Garabandal.
However, even if Conchita herself were to pass away, it does not negate the validity of the Garabandal apparitions. The scenario is that she is to announce the miracle eight days in advance of that event, and the announcement itself would be a miracle.
However, there is absolutely nothing that precludes Conchita's having passed on and yet somehow announcing the miracle in a miraculous fashion, e.g., in an apparition to another person or groups of people, who then in turn announce the miracle publicly.
When the angel appeared to the shepherds of Bethlehem and announced the birth of Christ, the shepherds stated, "Let us go over to Bethlehem, and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath shewed to us."
It was the Lord that announced to the shepherds the birth of Christ, but it was through the ministry of angels.
Such could even be the case with Conchita and the miracle. God's ways are not our ways, and we cannot put limitations on how He does things.
- DJR
Margaret, You say "Secondly, in St. Faustina`s Diary No. 36 she writes: ” Once I was summoned to the judgement (seat) of God. …… Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is displeasing to God.” This can be a hint to the Garabandal Warning which is the illumination of conscience."
You are mistaken though the lie of Garabandal.
The illumination of conscience 'is' the Final Coming as St Faustina said!
Jesus also said to her "Woe to those who do not recognise My visitation"
How can you ignore scripture over an unapproved apparition.
Look at all those who are dead who were meant to be alive for the miracle.
Do not ignore what scripture says.
Deuteronomy 18: 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously.
Look do not ignore what did not come to pass.
Woe to those who do not recognise My visitation. -St Faustina.
Glenn Hudson,
You are terribly guilty of leading people away from accepting Jesus when He comes in His unfathomable Divine Mercy. It is His Final Coming.
What you do is making people not recognise Jesus in His coming. You bring 'fear' of a warning. One that we should be so frightened.
If you want to believe this, FINE.
But keep it to yourself and don't drag people down with this lie.
If you want to do the will of God, spread HIS word, not words from an apparition that has NO support from the church as much as what you'd like to think it has.
NONE of those saints that you declare have EVER said the Mother of God is appearing in Garabandal.
But let's pretend one did, that still doesn't mean it true. Didn't St JP11 get some things wrong?
NOWHERE in any of these great saints books have there been any mention of Garabandal. Strange if it is meant to be for our benefit.
Anonymous, if you truly understood anything about Garabandal (which you don't ) its about "THE MESSAGES", not the apparitions. In 1965, at only 16 years of age , Conchita wrote to a Jesuit priest, Fr. Alba, "But, if we heed the Message, believing in the apparitions is of no importance."
The "message of Mary " was Penance, Confession, Mass, Communion, the Rosary, the Scapular, THAT IS THE MESSAGE I'M SPREADING.
YOU had better pray you're right trying to destroy my mission, for when the Warning comes, it is not my mission that you will have hindered, it is our Blessed Mother's. I have no problem standing in front of God defending the real orthodox Catholic "Messages of Garabandal ". Are you ready if you're wrong ???
Glenn, no one has a problem with the messages. The messages are what reels the faithful in. It is the prophecies of Garabandal which are not of God.
Glenn you say.. "The "message of Mary " was Penance, Confession, Mass, Communion, the Rosary, the Scapular, THAT IS THE MESSAGE I'M SPREADING."
Now that is a lie!
You DO NOT 'just' spread this message. You spread and copy and past all the Garabandal books prophecy and all.
You are guilty of spreading satan's lie.
You are guilty of spreading a false prophecy AGAINST the church's wishes.
You take this on your self.
If you TRULY want to please the Mother of God, go to the Bishop of Santander and ask permission to spread this unapproved apparition.
I know you would never do this, because YOU KNOW THE BISHOP WOULD TELL YOU NOT TO.
WE HAVE THE PERMSSION FROM THE ARCHBISHOP:
In April 2007, Joey Lomangino, received from Conchita a letter, dated 12 February 2007, she had herself received from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read: “I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject.
PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR PROMOTION OF THE GARABANDAL MESSAGES FROM SAINT POPE JOHN PAUL II :
Pope John Paul II - on Garabandal
There is a book on Garabandal, written by Albrecht Weber in 1993, entitled Garabandal Der Zeigefmger Gottes (Garabandal: The Finger of God), of which a first edition copy was presented to Pope John Paul II. He later asked his secretary, Fr. (now Archbishop) Stanislaus Dziwisz, to write to the author. In the subsequent printing (2000) of the book, on page 19, a portion of the Pope's message is reprinted, as follows:"May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known. May the Message of the Mother of God find an entrance into hearts before it is too late.
THATS WHY I STILL PROMOTE !
Glenn that alleged letter from Archbishop Carlos Sierra does NOT give you permission to promote this UNAPPROVED apparition.
Just because priests can say mass at a church means nothing. It is a Catholic church is it not? So of course mass can be said. BUT don't forget to say how the Bishop has said Mass CAN NOT BE SAID AT THE PINES. This is because they want NOTHING of this apparition.
Glenn you twist everything to just give yourself justification to your act. It is prideful as you do not want to accept you are wrong, but I believe deep in your heart you know what you are doing is WRONG.
Regarding what JP11 said. I do not believe for a moment he would say " May the Message of the Mother of God find an entrance into hearts before it is too late."
Saying 'before it is too late" is not the words of a Pope.
THERE IS NO WAY ST JP11 APPROVED GARABANDAL.
If Glenn 'ever' tries to say this REMEBER THIS...
Pope JP11 gave permission for this letter to be publicized in 1996 and again in 2002. Which in point 6 says it is FINAL.
Statement by Bishop Msgr. Jose Vilaplaua of Santander on alleged apparitions at Garabandal – issued on 11 October 1996
“Some people have been coming directly to the Diocese of Santander (Spain) asking about the
alleged apparitions of Garabandal and especially for the answer about the position of the hierarchy of the Church concerning these apparitions.
The conclusion of the commission agreed with the findings of the previous bishops. That there was no supernatural validity to such apparitions.
4. At the time of the conclusions of the study, in 1991, I was installed bishop in the diocese. So during my visit to Rome, the ad limina visit which happened in the same year, I presented to the
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith the study and I asked for pastoral direction concerning
this case.
In the same letter they suggested that if
I find it necessary to publish a declaration, that I reconfirm that there was no supernatural validity in the alleged apparitions, and this will make a unanimous position with my predecessors.
6. Given that the declarations of my predecessors who studied the case have been clear and unanimous, I don’t find it necessary to have a new public declaration that would raise notoriety about something which happened so long ago. However, I find it necessary to rewrite this report as a direct answer to the people who ask for direction concerning this question, which is now final: I agree with [and] I accept the decision of my predecessors and the direction of the Holy See.
7. In reference to the Eucharistic celebration in Garabandal, following the decision of my predecessors, I ruled that Masses can be celebrated only in the parish church and there will be no references to the alleged apparitions and visiting priests who want to say Mass must have approval from the pastor, who has my authorization. It’s my wish that this information is helpful to you.”

3 POPES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED SUPPORTERS AND BELIEVERS IN GARABANDAL. POPES PAUL VI, POPE BENEDICT XVI,AND JOHN PAUL II !
POPES PAUL VI AND BENDICT HAVE INTERVIEWED CONCHITA. POPE JOHN PAUL II HAS MET JACINTA, JOEY LOMANGINO , AND MYSELF. TOO BAD THIS SITE DOESNT ALLOW PICTURES. ALL THIS IS AVIALBALE ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE TO CONFIRM.https://www.facebook.com/groups/163674987784/ - See more at: http://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2014/06/the-death-of-joey-lomangino-blow-to.html#sthash.jymnJxOe.dpuf
Having lived, worked and known Joey & Conchita for over 20 years, I KNOW IN MY HEART THIS IS FROM GOD,AND HAVE NO CONCERNS.
The Pope is the leader of the Church. He allows Bishops to make rulings ,but HIS OPINION HAS THE FINAL SAY. Pope Paul VI interview Conchita ,and was CONVINCED of her story and numerous times he said so , and ASKED FOR ITS PROMOTION !
POPE PAUL VI AND GARABANDAL
The Blessed Virgin., in conversation with the young visionaries of Garabandal, mentioned the Holy Father on several occasions, and told them, "Pray, pray for the Pope" . It is an interesting fact that Pope Paul VI issued his encyclical "Mysterium Fidei" concerning "the weakening of devotion toward the Holy Eucharist" on September 3, 1965, only eleven weeks after Our Lady had complained, "Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist."
Early in 1966 Conchita was called to the Vatican. Gardinal Ottaviani, the pro-Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (Holy Office) had instructed Fr. Luna: "With or without the permission of the bishop, bring the young girls to me." During January 12-16 she was interviewed for 2 1/2 hours by the Cardinal and saw other members of the Congregation, afterwards she saw the Pope and gave him the date of the Great Miracle to come. She then paid a visit to Padre Pio, the famous stigmatist. Upon her return, at an audience in St. Peter's, the Holy Father came to her and announced joyfully in a clear voice, "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you."
The November 7, 1968 bulletin of Peru's Legion Blanca under the imprimatur of Mgr. Alfonso Zapana Belliza, Bishop of Tacna, Peru, quotes the late Pope Paul VI as having said at a private audience these inspiring words: "Garabandal the most beautiful story of humanity since the birth of Jesus Christ! It is also the second sojourn of the most Holy Virgin on this earth, and we have no adequate words to express our gratitude."
Pope Paul VI had all the while shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Jose Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined:
"It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world."
On March 3, 1969, the Pope, replying to a letter ' sent to him by Mrs. N. Baco of the Anglo-French Centre, sent his Apostolic Blessing to her and to all "Garabandalists in England and Ireland."
In June 1969, Pope Paul sent his personnal blessing to Difurora Mariana of Mexico, along with the gift of a crucifix for every member of the Garabandal Centre there, encouraging them to continue promoting the messages of Garabandal.
Ottaviani for 30 minutes. He told her, "Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal." .Cardinal Philippe who was presiding over a Bishops' Conference, left it in order to meet her and tell her, "I bless you in the name of the Madonna and I am fully with you. " She was also told, ' `It is very important that the four of you remainunited. "
Good try Glenn.
That above script was in the very early stages of the false apparition.
My statement was last publicized in 2002. In which is said FINAL..
During Pope JP11 Papacy.
Again. Glenn Hudson, STOP IT! Stop doing something you know deep in your own heart is wrong. Stop dragging others down with you.
The Church has NOT given any approval to your bad work.

(From SOUL Magazine, March-April, 1997 – originally published in December 1996)
This was again republished in 2002.
Anonymous, maybe your not understand simple dates. Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo issued his letter in 2007, that makes it the LATEST INFORMATION ON THE OPENESS OF THE DIOCESE,not the reissued 1996 letter ,even again in 2002.
Look who's so prideful now that you cant admit the new leadership is VERY interested in approving Garabandal, that he ASKS FOR INFORMATION.
READ AGAIN ANONYMOUS , YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS SINNING, TRYING TO STIFFLE AN ARCHBISHOP'S DIRECTIVE.
How can we not always feel the need to open our heart to our Mother Mary to tell her that we need her protection, her help, her courage, her hope, her faith and her love when faced with these events! I encourage you to keep maintaining such devotion toward our Mother”.
Yes Glenn,
That is one ArchBishop who said "I am sure the next Bishop will promote further studies to examine in depth the Garabandal"
BUT GLENN. The Bishop of Santander is very much AGAINST these False apparitions. He is NOT interested in reopening this case.
Case is CLOSED.
AND YOU KNOW IT.
Funny how EVERY POPE IS INTERESTED, AND THATS WHY IT WILL NEVER BE SHUT DOWN UNTIL THE MIRACLE DATE ....AND YOU KNOW IT !
Funny how people like you are spiritually wiser than 3 Popes and Saints like Padre Pio. LOL ! And you call me prideful, LOOK IN THE MIRROR , and ask our Blessed Mother for forgiveness for insulting her everyday !
Ya'll just need to calm down and repent. Say the Jesus Prayer or rosary. Chill out!
Yvette, I have known Joey Lomangino, since I was 13, and worked as a volunteer for him for the last 20 + years of his life. This was a very special human being ,who devoted his life to the Blessed Mother, Padre Pio, and Mary's messages at Garabandal.I witnessed countless miracles because of the medal kissed by our Blessed Mother. This blind man built the world's largest non-profit Garabandal organization, and I will not allow anyone here to discredit him or disgrace his life's work, or Mary's messages. Our Blessed Mother does not want me to " chill out ", ,she wants me to continue the work Joey started. Pray for those who go out of their way to discredit Mary's mission.
Well said Glenn, if this apparitions are really from God, you will have a very special place in heaven. Your strength against all the attacks is something extraordinary. You're a true believer. There are not many these days. God bless you.
Miguel from Portugal
"if this apparitions are really from God, you will have a very special place in heaven"
And if it isn't........
Thank you Miguel ! The funny thing Miguel is my following is growing at a miraculous rate on my Garabandal facebook page ! Before Joey's death, I <had about 2000 followers, today in just 2 months AFTER his death, its over 5400 ! Praise God & our Blessed Mother !
To the other "Anonymous" , I say this in all sincerity. IF I am wrong , what will I have done? I will have asked Catholics to follow Mary's messages of PENNANCE, CONFESSION, MASS, COMMUNION, THE ROSARY, THE SCAPULAR , to strive for Heaven. THAT IS THE MESSAGE OF GARABANDAL !
BUT IF YOU ARE WRONG , how will you defend yourself to Jesus, and his Mother for the daily insults & attacks YOU caused ?
I'd have NO CAUSE FOR CONCERN where my soul is concerned in this regard, you on the other hand , might be better off in SILENT DISBELIEF , rather than attacking Mary's real messages of Garabandal, and having to face that judgment at the Warning, your position is indefensible.
"And if it isn't........" ?
Well, I think Glenn already answer that, but let me tell you, I am not a complete believer in Garabandal I must say, but at least I'll give the benefit of the doubt. It's like a balanced scale in my mind struggling for the truth and sometimes is clear that Garabandal is in fact from God, and sometimes it's not.
When I say it's not that doesn´t mean it´s from the Devil or whatever you call it. Probably something that science will explain in the future, I just don't know.
One thing I know for sure, it's not evil. I just know it, pure and simple.
Do you know where the evil is my friend? just check the news, the evil is being inspiring a lot of human beings these days.
Remember this, if Garabandal is true, Glenn and other strong believers that live the messages are much more prepared than you.
Again, if Garabandal is true, then The Warning will come, and this event will happen not because of people like Glenn, but because of people like you and me.
Miguel
Glenn Hudson, you'd want to hope Jesus final coming is over 60 years away. By then no one will believe this false prophecy of Garabandal.
BUT if Jesus does come in the near future, Glenn you have a lot to worry about. Because you would have caused many not to recognise Jesus coming in His "unfathomable Divine Mercy."
You and others will think it is just a warning, one that will be so frightening that some will even die.
Jesus said to St Faustina. "Woe to those that don't recognise My visitation."
This does make me wonder. What special place God is preparing for those who preach falsehood.
Pleased to see how proud you are of having so many followings.
Garabandal has nothing to do with Jesus's second coming, but I am not afraid of the day when it does come or my judgment of my apostolate work either, because standing inline with me for the promotion of Mary's Messages at Garabandal will be SAINT John Paul II, Pope Benedict, Pope Paul VI, SAINT Padre Pio, Saint Jose Escriva, BLessed Mother Teresa, and many more.
I gladly include myself in this group of believers and supporters. Now, ask yourself , who's in your group ????
I am pleased , but not at myself ,but that the Blessed Mother reaffirmed my beliefs by sending thousands to the page . She is gathering up her faithful children, its a shame not everyone will be prepared for what she has forewarned us about.
My dear brothers and sisters Joey did receive new eyes and Joey did see the Great Miracle. Just like Fr. Andreu; Padre Pio and St. John Paul II. There is no contradiction. Be patient and be hopeful but most of all don't loose faith. Do the basic Catholic things really, really well and wait in joyful hope.
Aquiesce anima mea in Deus salus mea.
Garabandal is the sequel of Fatima. The miracle will happen just as it was foretold to happen. There is no doubt in my mind.
For those who are interested in learning ( and asking questions ) about the apparitions and messages of our Blessed Mother at Garabandal :
https://www.facebook.com/groups/163674987784/
Joey's death isn't the only failed prophecy of Garabandal.
I believe there are about 12 failed prophecies. Including the death of Pio NOT seeing the miracle.
NOWHERE is it said he saw a miracle before he died. This is just another Garabandal promoter lie to keep this prophecy going.
It is said that the church hasn't made anything 'final'. NOT TRUE
Read point 6.
Notice in point 6, the Bishop says “it is FINAL”
Statement by Bishop Msgr.
The conclusion of the commission agreed with the findings of the previous bishops. That there was no supernatural validity to such apparitions.
4. At the time of the conclusions of the study, in 1991, I was installed bishop in the diocese. So during my visit to Rome, the ad limina visit which happened in the same year, I presented to the
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith the study and I asked for pastoral direction concerning
this case.
5. On Nov. 28, 1992, the congregation sent me an answer saying that after examining the
documentation, there was no need for direct intervention (by the Vatican) to take away the jurisdiction of the ordinary bishop of Santander in this case. Such a right belongs to the ordinary. Previous declarations of the Holy See agree in this finding. In the same letter they suggested that if I find it necessary to publish declaration, that I reconfirm that there was no supernatural validity in the alleged apparitions, and this will make a unanimous position with my predecessors.
6. Given that the declarations of my predecessors who studied the case have been clear and
unanimous, I don’t find it necessary to have a new public declaration that would raise notoriety about something which happened so long ago. However, I find it necessary to rewrite this report as a direct answer to the people who ask for direction concerning this question, which is now final: I agree with [and] I accept the decision of my predecessors and the direction of the Holy See.
7. In reference to the Eucharistic celebration in Garabandal, following the decision of my predecessors, I ruled that Masses can be celebrated only in the parish church and there will be no
references to the alleged apparitions and visiting priests who want to say Mass must have approval from the pastor, who has my authorization. It’s my wish that this information is helpful to you.”
My regards in Christ,
+Jose Vilaplana

Arch Bishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo
In April 2007, Joey Lomangino, received from Conchita a letter, dated 12 February 2007, she had herself received from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read: “I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject.
THE POPE HAS FINAL SAY ON ALL APPARITIONS !
the Holy Father, Pope Paul VI, came to her and announced joyfully in a clear voice, "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you."
Pope Paul VI had all the while shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Jose Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined: "It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world."
Glenn Hudson, Just because Pope Paul V1 said "Conchita, I and all the church bless you" does not give his approval.
I have just copied and pasted the words of BH from MOG thread...
"Apostolic Blessings like this can be applied for and returned by a functionary of the Pope (eg a Nuncio or perhaps an Apostolic Administrator) "by proxy" without even the Pope knowing."
Even though he was talking about Medjugorje, it is the same reason for Garabandal and any other alleged apparition.
Glenn when I see you write this...
"Well,I've been online answering questions for over 13 hours today, on 3 sites"
You do not answer questions (rarely) People are not asking YOU questions, they are showing you that you are wrong.
All you do is push your genda.
God asked us to speak of his word, not of 'your' word.
Sat 30th 1st reading
1 Corinthians 1 26-31
Consider your own calling, brothers and sisters.
Not many of you were wise by human standards,
not many were powerful,
not many were of noble birth.
Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise,
and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
and God chose the lowly and despised of the world,
those who count for nothing,
to reduce to nothing those who are something,
so that no human being might boast before God.
It is due to him that you are in Christ Jesus,
who became for us wisdom from God,
as well as righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,
so that, as it is written,
Whoever boasts, should boast in the Lord.
Glenn Hudson, REPEAT.
"WHOEVER BOASTS, SHOULD BOAST IN THE LORD."
Glenn you do not boast words of the Lord.
There is so many faults with Garabandal. There is going to be NO warning. No where is this spoken of in scripture.
When illumination of conscience is spoken of, this is the time of Jesus final coming as He told St Faustina.
Have a look at the difference here to what St Faustina said and what Conchita said.
Garabandal prophecies say…
A world wide warning that will happen in the sky…like a collision of two stars that do not fall down…It will frighten all humanity regardless where one happens to be at the time….it will be a thousand times worse than earthquakes….like a fire that will not burn your flesh….it will last a very short time, although to us it will seem like a very long time…no one can prevent it from happening…It will be recognised as coming from God…it will resemble a punishment…it is meant to be a purification…like the revelation of our sins and what we will feel in our hearts will be worse than sorrow. It will not kill us, if we die it will be caused by the emotion within us.
Jesus said to St Faustina…
“Write this: Before I come as a just Judge, I am coming first as a King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:
All the light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the saviour were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.”
It isn't just the failed prophecy of Joey. There are so many more...
These are some prophecies of Garabandal quoted in Book.
“Padre Pio will see the miracle.” ........ He died! It is only heresy that he saw it before he died.
After Pope John XX11, there will be only 3, no 4 more popes, then NO MORE.
"Father Luis body to be found incorrupt after the miracle.”.......... His body has been dug up, and it is not incorrupt.
"Paloma Pacheco Larrauri born in 1931, a barren woman told, “you will have a son the day of the miracle.”
"Conchita told in ecstacy, 3 month old Pepi Luis will become a priest.”........ He entered seminary but did not continue. This prophecy must have messed with his life.
Diary entry from Father Andreu..."Conchita's promise from the Virgin that Father Ramon Andreu's two other brothers Marcelino and Alejandro would live to see the Miracle at Garabandal."... Alas all have passed away.
What does God say...
Deuteronomy 18:22
"when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously."
GARABANDAL BELIEVERS

Well, they all were believers and public supporters of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother at Garabandal, Spain. Our Heavenly mother asked for our repentance, daily mass, communion, confession, the rosary, the brown scapular, and the morning offering prayer, all Catholic staples of our faith.
Time will prove one side right. At worst I will be seen a fool, which is fine with me because I was an advocate and " fool " for our Blessed Mother. On the other hand ,if right, a warrior for Mary in the face of adversity. Either is fine with me.
What will you be if you are wrong ????
Glenn says.."What will you be if you are wrong ????"
Not possible. Because The Virgin Mary does NOT get prophecy wrong. But Glenn you obviously think she does. You turn a blind eye to the failed prophecies and are guilty of twisting their meanings.
I don't believe when you find out you were wrong the worse is you were seen as a 'fool'.
I believe there will be worse punishments for those who prophecies 'falsehoods'.
You promote a warning.
There is going to be NO warning. Shame on those who steer people away from recognising Jesus' Final Coming.
Glenn you have people thinking it is 'just' a warning.
Jesus said to St Faustina. "Woe to those who do not recognise My visitation."
Sorry Glenn, you are more than a fool.
YOU had better pray there is no Warning, you have alot to answer for when it happens. If I am a fool ,why dont you include the other "fools " like Saint Pio, Saint John Paul II, Pope Paul VI, Mother Teresa, etc. But ofcourse you won't insult them, you dont have the courage to , "Anonymous ".
Anonymous, speaking of "fools" you just joined the club. You cited St. Faustina ,well SHE WAS THE FIRST TO SEE THE UPCOMING WARNING ! Faustina Kowalska describes an illumination of conscience which she experienced:
Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is displeasing to God. I did not know that even the smallest transgressions will have to be accounted for. What a moment! Who can describe it? To stand before the Thrice-Holy-God! — Divine Mercy in My Soul, Diary of St. Faustina, §36.
Thanks for proving my point ,there will be a Warning. ( and you call me the "fool ". ) LOL
For the last time.
Glenn Hudson, you have NO PROOF those wonderful saints 'approved' Garabandal. Words from people who's ambition is to ONLY promote Garabandal means absolutely NOTHING.
Besides. A Fool can be forgiven. Can someone who ignores scripture over ones own pride?
Glenn as much as you'd like to think God sent you, it can not be possible because of all the prophecies that failed in Garabandal. But I think these words are written for you.
Jeremiah 23:21-22
“I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people,"
Glenn Hudson, I think of you when I read this...
Glenn Hudson, For you to say St Faustina was the first to see the upcoming 'warning'.
This just proves you do not understand or maybe did not read St Faustina's diary.
If you did. You would have read the description of this event is totally different to what Conchita described.
But more importantly. What Jesus said is that He was preparing the world through her for HIs FINAL COMING. Not a warning.
He also said "woe to those who do not recognise My visitation."
Woe to you Glenn who steers people away from recognising Jesus in His visitation, which is His Final Coming.
GLENN. Can you actually spot the difference?
Garabandal prophecies say…
A world wide warning that will happen in the sky…like a collision of two stars that do not fall down…It will frighten all humanity regardless where one happens to be at the time….it will be a thousand times worse than earthquakes….like a fire that will not burn your flesh….it will last a very short time, although to us it will seem like a very long time…no one can prevent it from happening…It will be recognised as coming from God…it will resemble a punishment…it is meant to be a purification…like the relevation of our sins and what we will feel in our hearts will be worse than sorrow.
I can see the difference.
One prophecy gives you fear of God.
The other prophecy sees a merciful God who will forgive everything, not frighten us.
